Dawn Heinecken is Assistant Professor of Women’s Studies at the University of Louisville, Kentucky. She received her Ph.D. in American culture studies from Bowling Green State University, Ohio, and co-authored Measuring Up: How Advertising Affects Self-Image with Vickie Rutledge Shields.
