Elyce Rae Helford is Associate Professor of English and Director of Women’s Studies at Middle Tennessee State University. She is the co-editor of Enterprise Zones: Critical Positions on Star Trek (Westview Press, 1996) and editor of Fantasy Girls: Gender in the New Universe of Science Fiction and Fantasy Television (Rowman and Littlefield, 2000).
