Massimo Introvigne, a member of the "Religions" group of AIS (the Italian Association of Sociology), is managing director of the Center for Studies on New Religions (CESNUR), and the author or editor of more than thirty books (including one on Dracula and vampires) and more than a hundred articles in refereed journals and collective books in the field of sociology of religion and popular culture.
