She has contributed to many publications, including Flesh and the Mirror (1993) and The Cambridge Guide to Women Writers (1999), as well as editing a number of science fiction anthologies. She is a regular reviwer for, among others, The New Statesman, The Independent, and The Times Literary Supplement. She lives and works in London and watches Buffy. A lot.
