Buffy Scholar/Critic

Lydia LaBarthe is an undergraduate student in the Screen Studies program at Flinders University. Her interest in Buffy the Vampire Slayer began with season one and the continued narrative and character development throughout the show. Her main area of interest is fan fiction and fandom's deconstruction of the text of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and how that deconstruction fits into canon. Her other areas of interest are ancient and medieval history, which is her second major at Flinders University. She has from time to time written the occaisional piece of Buffy the Vampire Slayer related fan fiction but prefers to edit other fan fiction pieces rather than write them herself.
