David Mould runs his own company, Second Strike Productions, based in student leadership training, student democracy/civics and citizenship, conference management and education consulting. He has spoken at a wide range of conferences around the world, most recently the International Youth Change Makers Conference in Wales 2002.

In all areas of his work David focuses on encouraging students to take anything they see, believe or think and explore it. David does not believe in teaching, instead preferring questions and facilitation while students come to their own conclusions.

David is the founder of the Victorian Student Representative Council (1998), the Victorian Institute of SRCs and Teacher Advisers (1999) and the South Australian SRC Teachers Association (2001). All organisations dedicated to the same idea of supporting genuine student participation.
