Cynthia
Ryan is an MA student at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro,
Tennessee, with plans of attaining a PhD in English. Her interests include
exploring the possibilities available through the study of popular culture in
combination with traditional literature and criticism, queer studies, and
spiritual, philosophical and psychological connections in texts. She recently
taught a developmental writing class using Harry
Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and is currently designing additional
Potter-related courses that she hopes to one day put to use. Additionally, she
is thrilled to have found such a community of like-minded academics and looks
forward to working with them on many levels. You
