Buffy Scholar/Critic

Erma Petrova just finished her Ph.D. in English at the University of Ottawa, Canada, and has no idea where to go from here (for job offers, use email above). Her dissertation is on semiotics, simulation, Oedipus, Macbeth, Calvino, and Paul Auster, and has nothing to do with Buffy, except for three footnotes, which apparently was enough to provoke some resentment. That’s when she realized she had treated Buffy as a serious academic subject and got away with it. At this conference, she is hoping to get away with it again. The ideal job she is looking for is to be Joss Whedon, but it has been taken by a more qualified candidate.
