In "Restless," Xander brings a video of the film to the Scooby Gang's vidfest, insisting that it is a "gay romp! It's the feel-good movie of whatever year it was." Later, in Xander's dream, he reenacts the film's climactic encounter between Lieutenant Willard (Martin Sheen) and Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando), with Principal Snyder playing the Brando role.
