TEA COZY. BtVS Intertext/Allusion.

In the third season opener “Anne,” Buffy tells the nurse at the blood bank, “I just want to be alone and quiet in a room with a chair and a fireplace and a tea cozy. I don't even know what a tea cozy is, but I want one.”

Often quilted or crocheted, the tea cozy is a cover placed over a teapot to keep the water warm while the tea steeps. There are two “styles” of cozies (or cosies): one which covers the whole teapot, and one which leaves the spout, lid and often the handle free.
