Spike had already learned how to deal with depressed Summer’s women before Buffy came back. It was Dawn who came to him after Buffy died. She would cry in his arms and he would comfort. Then, he didn’t think to take advantage. But she was so warm and smelled so much like Buffy. When Dawn kissed him on the Forth of July, he wished later he had held back. He knew she didn’t want him really. He knew she was young. He knew she wasn’t Buffy. Though when he closed his eyes and she wore Buffy’s clothes, she could be.
