What A Lovely Way To Burn

She’s self conscious in every movement, every shake of the hips – every frivolous gesture.

If a guy gets close – she’ll use him as a prop then slide away.

To her dancing is a solo sport.

It’s where she’s most in control – it’s her favorite place to lose it.

When the bass line thumps, she shakes her hair like crazy and everything blurs, slowing down and speeding up all at once.

Her vision’s blue then green then red then blue again.

It’s odd how low the tempo is in her favorite song – the song which describes her feelings about dancing
