Andrew knew the exact moment he realised he was gay. He'd been sitting in the van, with Warren and Jonathan, when the subject of hot 2ICs came up. Warren favoured T'Pol, while Jonathan argued for Susan Ivanova. Andrew sat there dizzy; the first name to mind had been Chakotay.

Warren and Jonathan's arguing whether Beka Valentine counted as a first officer, since she was a captain, went unnoticed. By the time they decided they didn't care, Andrew had come to the conclusion that he was gay, and attracted to tall, dark and capable men. He looked up, and there was Warren.
