Buffy wird zum außerordentlichen Mitglied der Initiative ernannt und darf nun deren Räume betreten. Maggie beauftragt sie, einen angeblich harmlosen Dämon aufzuspüren. Doch in Wirklichkeit handelt es sich um eine Falle: Mehrere Dämonen versuchen, Buffy zu töten, während Maggie am Monitor zusieht. Maggie erzählt Riley gerade, seine Freundin sei nun tot, als Buffy auf dem Monitor erscheint und die Wahrheit verkündet. Schockiert und voller Zorn verlässt Riley Maggie.
