Part 7

Meanwhile, after Angelus woke up, Lilah slipped out the door. She slowly but surely went to her car and drove back to the office. She needed to have a talk with a senior partner about the things that Linwood had been ordering them to do. First, the screw-up with Connor, and now resurrecting Darla again! He just seemed to be trying to attack Angel indirectly. //He's afraid of Angelus// thought Lilah. //I can work with this//. Lilah arrived at W&H headquarters and went to talk with the senior partners. On the way up, Linwood told her that there was a staff meeting in an hour. Apparently, Gavin has some very interesting information.

While all that was happening, the Scoobies and AI Gang were researching about how to deal with the situation. Xander suggested that the do the Soul Restoration Spell again. Wesley immediately shot it down, because Buffy probably already thought of that, and put up safe guards. Cordelia on the other hand was all for it.

"I'm all for it. Once Angel regains his soul, his common sense will also be restored. So he will dump the blond tramp you call a slayer, and come back to me. I'm so much better for him than she is because she is the slayer. And because of that, she can never really understand him like I do. We are made for each other, he and Buffy aren't. God, all the little blond whore did was hurt him."

"So?" Willow asked. She slowly rose up from her seat, her eyes slowly turning black. She was enraged that Cordelia had said that all Buffy did was hurt him. He mistakes are nothing compared to all the mistakes that he had made. The biggest one is Cordelia.

"She would whine and complain just because she was the Slayer. 'Poor me, I have to save the world and stake a bunch of fluffy vampires', that act is getting so tiring!" Cordelia ranted. Willow's eyes were blackening at a frightening rate, but she, Queen C, would not back down from a computer geek.

"Again, so?" Willow asked calmly. Sparks were shooting out of her fingers, ready to fly.

Cordelia was about to respond until a vortex suddenly opened and swallowed her whole. She got sucked up into the portal, only to land in front of the feet of Buffy and Angelus.

"Girl, what the hell did you do?!" Gunn shouted. He had stayed quiet during Cordy's rant in the hopes that Cordy would be knocked down a few pegs, but he never imagined that Willow would do this.

"Yeah Willow, I know that Cordy was being bitchy, whiney, self-absorbed, self-centered, I guess the mean the same thing, insane, idiotic&Okay, okay, I'll get on with it. Even though she was being all those things and more, doesn't mean that she deserved it." Xander said. Although he himself thought Cordelia was bitch for what she said about Buffy, Willow acted kind of rash.

"I agree Willow, you acted rashly-" Giles started to say until he was cut off by Willow.

"I didn't do anything!" Willow exploded. "I was about to if she said one more thing, but the vortex came before I had the chance to do anything."

"Good God, are you sure?" Wesley questioned worriedly. If Willow didn't conjure that vortex who did?

"I think I would know if I cast a spell Wesley. Don't patronize me." Willow said through gritted teeth.

"Look's like we have another mystery on our hands." Fred said excitedly. "What?! I like mysteries, and oh, we have the Scooby Gang with us!" Fred said because everybody looked at her.

"Alright everybody, its time to look through the books again!" Wesley announced.

Everybody groaned, but grabbed a book.

"Well look what we have here love." Angelus said. Cordelia just appeared out of nowhere. Buffy will want to punish her.

"I see her sweetie." Buffy said with a child-like smile on her face. She was about to conjure up some chains for Cordelia when she suddenly pulled through the same vortex that brought Cordy here.

Buffy landed in a circle that was surrounded by crystals. Seeking out information that should have never been there, Buffy remembered that a crystal circle traps all magical and evil beings in it, only if the circle was undisturbed. She looked up only to see Lilah and the rest of the staff on the Angel project.

"Hello Buffy, how nice of you to join us." Lilah said smiling wickedly. She finally did the deed that will make her a senior partner now that Linwood was removed. She looked towards the chair that Linwood was sitting in, his head now on the table. It turns out that the senior partners agreed with her. "Make yourself comfortable Buffy, because you will be staying here for awhile."

"Do you honestly think that a simple trap can stop me? I have gotten out of worse things, even if this is a magical barrier." Buffy said. She was confident in her ability to get out of this unharmed.

"Yeah, well, we've got a little surprise for you." Lilah stated with a smirk. She signaled the 10 monks to bind her power to a stone that will only return it back to her if broken.

The monks started chanted and Buffy, although trapped, started to chant the counter to that. She started screaming, and all that was left was a broken girl who still has her slayer strength.
