A/N: Here comes the sequel. LoL

Ok, if you are just tuning in, I HIGHLY suggest you read "Hell Hath No Fury" first, because you will be SOOO lost, especially at certain points.

For those of you joining me from HHNF - Welcome back! I hope you like this as much as you liked the first one. This will be MUCH darker then HHNF, as the characters are older, and I am really letting my imagination fly.

This is post-Hogwarts. It begins in July, and will go until...whenever I feel like it :)

If some of this fic sounds familiar, it's because I borrowed it from Lainamalthea's "Fire Spirit." She stopped the fic because she had no time (nor patience...I love you :P) to finish it. So, she gave the 4 chapters to me to do with them as I wish, and I used part of it here and will be using other parts, edited, in future chapters.

Ships: Harry/Hermione, Ron/Dawn, Buffy/Angel, Xander/Anya, Tara/Willow CERTAIN SHIPS SUBJECT TO MAJOR DISTURBANCES IN THIS FIC! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

And on that note - on to the prologue!

Prologue - Alone

"Ron!" She struggled against the bonds that held her wrists behind her back.

"Ron!"

"He can't hear you." He said, stepping out of the shadows.

"What do you want with me?" Dawn asked, glaring, her teeth clenched.

"You know very well what I want." He said, pointing his wand at her.

She cringed. "You won't get it. Not now, not ever."

He shrugged. "Suit yourself - Crucio."

Dawn screamed, but no one heard her but the damp walls.

Somewhere not too far away, Harry Potter awoke from his sleep, a feeling of dread creeping over him as the nightmare slowly faded to black.

"You have to accept it."

"Accept what?"

"Your destiny."

"But I already have - I can't."

"Then it's already too late."

"Late? Too late for what?"

"Accept it Dawn. Accept it."

Dawn was awakened from her dream by the incessant ringing of the telephone. She had that dream every night since the ride home on the Express a month before. And she knew who the voice belonged to now - Lily. The voice belonged to Harry's mother. She would recognize those eyes anywhere. 'Those jade green eyes...' Dawn shook her head. Well, THAT thought was going somewhere it wasn't supposed to.

Dawn leaned over and picked the phone off its cradle. "Hello?" she said groggily.

"Dawn?" Harry's voice was worried.

"Harry?" She sat up, suddenly becoming very alert. "What's wrong? Is it Ron?"

"No, no, everything's fine."

Dawn leaned forward. "You're lying through your teeth."

"Oh, but don't I do it well?" They laughed.

"So really, why are you calling me at this ungodly hour?"

Harry sighed. "Truth? I wanted to make sure you were all right. I had a dream earlier tonight. You were captured by - well - I'm not quite sure by who, actually, but, given my history with dreams and them coming true, I wanted to make sure you were okay."

Dawn didn't answer.

"Dawnie?"

Dawn sighed. "I supposed it depends on your definition of okay. Look, I'm kind of tired Harry. I'll tell you all about it when you come tomorrow."

"You sure you're okay?"

"Yes. I'm fine."

She could practically see his look of disbelief through the phone. "Alright. Good night, Dawn."

"Night."

Dawn hung up the phone and lay back down. She glanced at the clock - 2:15AM.

"Happy Birthday Dawn." She shook her head and closed her eyes.

Her last thoughts before she dozed off were of Lily's words.

Accept it Dawn. Accept it.

'Why?'
