Summary: Buffy has a secret admirer stalking her.

Part 1 - Chasing Beauty

Crouching low, the young girl hovered behind the tomb as the object of her affection approached. *There she is.*

A small blonde girl whistling and twirling a stake sauntered past. "Come out. Come out. Where ever you are?" The pretty slayer chuckled as a fresh vamp lunged at her. "That's it. Make it easy for me."

She plunged the stake in his chest without breaking her stride and continued on, still whistling. A small smile played upon her perfect mouth, her green eyes glittering as she hopped onto a headstone and sat, swinging her feet. "Anyone else?" She called out daringly.

The girl watching sucked in her breath, awed by the tiny blonde as usual. *She hasn't changed a bit.* She smiled at the thought as she continued to spy. *Buffy Summers still looks like an angel... miss perfect and pure...* Enjoying her proximity the girl knelt lower, sighing as a tingle traveled down her spine. *Mmmm... slayer senses...* Her head suddenly pricked up when she realized that her quarry would feel it too.

Sure enough, the cute blonde's head lifted and turned in her direction. "Who's there?!"

*Oh shit!* The brunette huddled against the tomb, glancing around for an escape.

"Just me, pet." A bleach blonde vampire stepped from the shadows.

"Spike!" The small slayer growled in aggravation. "Stop following me!"

"Just checking up on you, that's all." He held out his hand and helped her down. The brunette leaned forward observing as the petite slayer accepted the hand and slid off the tombstone.

"Ugh! Fine, just stop sneaking up on me, will you?" She landed on her feet, her newly cut hair swirling around her pretty face.

"So what's the what?" He nervously asked, kicking at the dirt.

"Huh?!" She barely could contain her irritation as she turned and started walking away. The brunette smiled, a lovesick expression plastered on her face as the blonde drew nearer.

"I just wanted to know..." Spike spoke anxiously.

"Shhh!" Buffy hushed him in annoyance. She was feeling the tingling again. It was a delicious and familiar sensation, but she couldn't quite place it yet. "Be quiet, Spike."

He rolled his eyes but remained still as the slayer tilted her head and listened. "Over there!" She pointed at the tomb where the brunette was perched.

*Crap!* The girl slipped into the brush, cursing as the branches tore at her leather. *Damn slayer senses.* She backed away far enough to assure herself that she was out of range, before peeking over.

"Nothing is out here, pet. I think you're a little mixed up. Let me walk you home."

Buffy cast one last glance toward the trees and the tomb. "Fine." The pretty blonde slayer shrugged and walked toward home with Spike trailing after her.

The brunette followed too with her eyes, watching as her salvation left. She frowned and slipped back into the darkness.

Part 2 - A Gift For Buffy

Faith held up the delicate bracelet, indecisively. "Are you sure that this is some sort of heirloom?"

"Yes, Miss. It is quite a treasure. Each of these little dangling pearls is handcrafted and the stones here... well it's exquisite work. Shall I wrap it up for you?"

"Uh... yeah. Thanks. Maybe you have something I can put it with. An animal or somethin'."

The jeweler made a face. "I'm sorry miss. An animal?"

"Ya know, like a stuffed bear or somethin' cutsie." Faith blushed as she looked away.

"Um.. no, I'm sorry miss. We don't have anything like that." The man cleared his throat uncomfortable. "We just carry fine jewelry and precious stones." He gestured toward the cases.

The snooty assistant chimed in. "Why don't you try a department store or somewhere more common."

The brunette glared, dangerously close to punching him out. "Yeah, sure. Whatever. Just wrap it, Jeeves, and I'll be on my way."

The jeweler pulled the clerk into the back. "You fool. What are you doing? That girl has been left a fortune. Don't be rude again!"

Properly chastised the assistant came out, smiling, ready to ring up the young girl's purchase. "We do have this lovely antique music box. Perhaps you could place the bracelet in this"

A large smile spread across the dark slayer's face as she lifted the Tiffany glass box. "Yes, I like this. I like this a lot."

.................

Faith slipped silently into Buffy's bedroom and placed the carefully wrapped gift on her bed. She turned and ran her hand wistfully over the pillow. *Oh B.* Shaking it off, she climbed back out the window. *Time to wait.*

She soon was rewarded as the giggling slayer bounced into her room with her little sister close behind.

"Buffy, you goof..." Dawn called out still laughing at whatever joke they had just shared. "Hey, what's that?" She pointed at the small package laying on the pillow.

Buffy lifted the gift and carefully unwrapped it. She turned the beautiful music box around and opened it, then slowly pulled the bracelet out, her eyes big with wonder.

"Wow! From Spike?" Dawn touched the jewelry, almost reverently. She had never seen anything so delicate and expensive looking. "How do suppose he bought this?"

"My guess would be that he didn't." The blonde growled slipping it back in the box. "It must be stolen."

The brunette scowled and backed away from the window. *Spike? Why would Spike give her anything?!* She jumped down and headed in the direction of the cemetery.

..............

"Spike!" Buffy threw open the tomb in a rage. "What is this?!" She held the glass box up.

"It looks like a music box, pet." The blonde vampire snorted and turned away.

"Yes, I can see that!" She spoke through gritted teeth. "I want to know why the hell you left it in my house! On my bed, to be specific. I don't appreciate it! Especially since it's obviously stolen!"

"What? Stolen? Who'd steal such a trinket?!" Spike laughed reaching for the object.

Buffy glared as she opened the box and pulled the bracelet out. It glimmered and sparkled in the dim light.

"Woah kitten! Lemme see that!" He reached eagerly for the prize, but Buffy snatched it back.

"Wait a minute! You haven't seen this before?"

"No, but lemme have a look now." Buffy reluctantly released the bracelet, watching as Spike turned it over in his hands. "This has to have been a fortune, luv. Where'd you get it?"

"I told you. Someone left it in my house. On my bed actually." The slayer wrinkled her brow, confused.

"No note?"

"No." Buffy's face changed. She nervously peered over at him. "You really didn't leave it, Spike?"

"It wasn't me, pet. Trust me, if I left something this exquisite I'd want credit." He chuckled as he handed the jewelry back to her.

The brunette listened carefully from outside. *Well at least he's being honest. That's a good. But what is Buffy doing here anyway?*

"Looks like you have a secret admirer, blondie." He snickered as Buffy tucked the bracelet back into the box.

"Great. That's what I need another psycho in love with me." The little slayer growled turning on her heel. "I have to go."

"Face it slayer, you attract a bad element." He shouted after her retreating form. "Come and visit anytime!"

Faith ducked behind the bushes as Buffy stormed out.

Part 3 - DoubleMeat DoubleTreat

"Hi. Welcome to the DoubleMeat Palace, may I help you?" Buffy looked past the customer and at the back of the brunette leaving. She couldn't help but try and catch a glimpse of the beautiful girl. She noticed other customers and employees gawking and was curious. But the girl exited before she was able to get a good look. Buffy sighed with disappointment and turned back to the customer. "So have you decided?"

Faith ducked around the building, chuckling. *Buffy tried to check me out! Wow! Buffy's jumped the fence? I knew Willow had... but Buffy?!* The brunette shook her head as she leaned up against the wall to light a cigarette.

A flame flashed before her. "Oh. Hey, thanks." She looked up to see Spike standing in front of her. She tipped her cigarette forward to light it, sucking slowly while she considered the blonde vampire.

"Don't mention it." He flicked his zippo closed and studied the brunette. "Do I know you?"

"I don't think so."

"I'm Spike. And you are?"

"Leaving. Thanks for the light." Faith pushed off of the wall with her boot and started to walk away.

"Hey wait." The bad boy chased after the brunette, intrigued. "What's your name? Come on, gorgeous... How will I see you again?"

"You won't if I can help it." She called back, strutting down the alley.

"Hey Spike, what are you doing?" Buffy stood behind him watching his eyes follow the brunette. *I just missed seeing her again. Darn!* She turned toward the bleach blonde vampire. "Who was that?"

"The second sexiest girl in the world." He leered at Buffy.

"Argh! Spike, go home!" The little slayer turned and went back inside.

........................

Faith closed her apartment door, and flopped down onto her bed. She closed her eyes and thought of Buffy standing at the counter taking orders. "Yeah, I know what I want. I'll take a large order of Buffy Summers." She laughed at her cheesy joke, and rolled over to take a nap.

She wanted to be well rested for their patrol tonight. Faith was finding that it took quite a bit of extra energy to remain unseen. Letting Spike catch a glimpse of her today was a miscalculation on her part. But she wouldn't make the same mistake twice. She now realized that staying hidden from him was going to be as tricky as hiding from Buffy. Apparently he was following the golden slayer too.

Faith frowned at that realization. The blonde vampire seemed unworthy to her. *He's not near good enough for you, B. But then again, no one really is.* The dark slayer sighed and drifted off to sleep with images of a little blonde DoubleMeat employee, flitting through her head.

Part 4 - Lock Her Up

"Xander, watch out!" Buffy shoved him out of her way and struck the vampire.

"Buffy, behind you!" Willow shouted as she was thrown to the ground.

"Quick you guys, back out of here. There's too many." Buffy lifted Tara up and turned toward Spike who was fighting three... no two. She blinked and shook her head. *I'm seeing things.*

"Wil!" Buffy rushed toward the red head prepared to rescue her, but the vampire was ash before she could swing the stake. "Huh?! Okay, let's get out of here. C'mon!" She pulled the rest of the scoobies back just as another vamp turned to dust.

"Did you see that?!" Spike shouted back to Buffy.

"Yes, I'm not blind you know!" The little slayer huffed indignant. Another vampire lunged out at her. Faith lifted her crossbow and took careful aim. Poof! He shattered into dust right in front of Buffy. Spike had run over just in time to get a mouthful. He coughed violently and cursed.

"Well, what the bloody hell is going on?!"

"I don't know. But I intend on finding out!" The blonde slayer did a spinning kick and staked another another vamp before heading in the direction the arrow had come from.

*Oh shit!* Faith rolled into a nearby open grave, landing with a thud. "Awww fuck! That hurt!" She lay there hardly breathing, waiting to hear Buffy run by. *Nothing. Hmm?* The brunette slowly lifted herself from the grave. Just as she was climbing out a hand grabbed hers. "HOLY FUCK!" She tried to pull away, but the hand easily held her and plucked her out. She found herself standing face to face with Buffy Summers.

"Hi B. Uh... how's it going?" She smiled nervously at the little slayer. Buffy frowned then swung. Bam! Everything went black for Faith.

"Dammit! Guys, over here!" Buffy lifted the unconscious brunette into her arms as she turned toward the others. "I found our mysterious guardian angel. C'mon, back to the house."

"Hey, that's her!" Spike called out excited.

"Her what? Faith?" Buffy cradled the girl in her arms, as they walked.

"Faith? That's Faith?! Bloody hell! She's the one I saw yesterday. The one who was watching you through the window. You know, at that god awful job of yours."

*So she's the brunette.* "I should have known." The tiny slayer resisted Spike's attempt to take Faith. "It's okay. I've got her, Romeo. She's my responsibility."

The blonde vampire shrugged and released the brunette as Xander, Willow, and Anya rushed up.

"What's going.. Oh my god!"

Tara was close behind. "Faith!"

"Yes, everyone. It's Faith. We've established that. Now we need to get back to the house before those vampires regroup." Buffy readjusted Faith in her arms as they walked.

Xander peered over Buffy's shoulder gazing at the slightly bruised slayer. She still looked amazing. "Buff, what are you going to do with her?"

"What any normal person does with a violent criminal. Lock her up." The little blonde stated matter-of-factly.

......................

Faith groaned, coming to slowly. "Owww.. fuck!" She tried to touch her aching cheek, but the chains were heavy. She could barely raise her hand. "Dammit!"

"Watch your language, please." Buffy scolded, gently wiping Faith's brow.

"Huh?" The brunette opened her eyes, squinting at the figure leaning over her. "Wha..where am I?"

"Your new home, Faith." Buffy helped her to sit up.

"Buffy?"

"The one and only." The tiny slayer smirked, sarcastically. "Are you thirsty?" She held a glass for Faith to take a sip.

"I don't understand. Why?" The brunette gestured at her chains.

"You don't understand?! Well let me explain it to you, Faith! I don't trust you!" Buffy shouted, causing Faith to grab her head in agony.

"Okay. Okay. Please don't yell. My head is killing me. You still got quite a punch, B." The brunette smiled appreciatively.

Buffy shrugged and got up. "Well, unless you need anything else. I'm going to bed."

"Huh?" Faith glanced around and realized that she was chained in the basement. "Wait. You can't just chain me and keep me. I served my time. I'm out on the up and up."

"I can. And I will. You're not going anywhere, Faith. Not until I decide you can. Do you understand?" Buffy arched an eyebrow as she made her way up the stairs. "Nighty-night, little Faith."

"Hey! Hey! Come back here! Hey! I got rights, ya know!" Faith called after the blonde slayer, shocked by the turn of events. Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine Buffy would hold her captive. No, not saintly little Buffy. "HEY! B! HEY!" She struggled against the chains futilely.

Part 5 - Buffy's Demands

Faith gave up tugging at the chains and laid back, staring up at the ceiling and contemplating the situation. Oddly enough, escaping didn't seem to be foremost on her mind. She still was trying to work out what she was feeling. She wasn't exactly mad, more surprised.

All things considered this certainly wasn't the worst response. It wasn't expected; that's for sure, but not the worst. The worst response would have been B sending her away, and then second worst would have been B trying to kill her. So all in all this wasn't even really bad. Faith smiled and clasped her hands behind her head, sighing.

After all, she did want to be near Buffy, and you can't get much nearer than being chained up in the Summers' house. Of course, chained in Buffy's bedroom would be better, but baby steps. Faith chuckled and rolled over to check out her new digs.

*What was it Buffy called it... my new home?* She smiled and closed her eyes. *Fine by me, B. Fine by me... anything to be near you.* The brunette sighed content. She was finally close to her fellow slayer. Buffy was just upstairs somewhere. The dark slayer fell asleep happy.

........................

Buffy went quietly down the stairs to check on her prisoner. She found Faith curled on her side, asleep. Reaching down, she carefully pushed a few locks of hair from the dark slayer's face, smiling, as the pretty brunette grumbled.

"Hmmm... you actually look really sweet right now." Buffy whispered softly, caressing the younger girl gently. She leaned forward and kissed Faith lightly the cheek. "You're going to be good this time, Faithy. I'm not going to let you be anything else. You're going to behave this time or else." With that she pinched Faith lightly, waking her up.

"Ouch! Hey, what gives?!" The brunette sat up, displeased at being so rudely awakened.

"Rise and shine, Faith. We have a big day ahead of us." Buffy smirked at the younger girl's grumpy expression. "Awww... Are you always grouchy in morning, Faithy?"

"Not usually. But how `bout me pinchin' you. We'll see if you like that." Faith rubbed her eyes and stretched. "What time is it anyway?"

"Time for you to answer some questions. Mainly, why did you come back to Sunnydale?"

The moment of truth was at hand for Faith. She took a deep breath, nervous. "I... I wanted to make it up to you. I think I can help out if you let me." Faith's eyes filled with tears. She was so afraid of the impending rejection; she closed her eyes tight to steel herself against it. But it didn't come, just silence. She opened her eyes to see Buffy straddling a chair in front of her and resting her chin on the back, studying her.

"Alright Faith. I'll give you this chance, but it's your last. And you're going to have to play it my way. Do you understand?"

Faith only nodded as Buffy got up and unchained her. She sat rubbing her wrists and listening to Buffy's demands.

"First of all, you're going to stay here. So I can keep tabs you. Secondly, I'm your new watcher, and you're going to obey me without question. Thirdly, you're going to help around the house, and pay rent. And lastly you're going to apologize and make amends with the others. You got it?"

"Yeah sure, B. I can do all of that. But I don't need to stay here. Ya know, I got my own place."

"No, it's here or no deal. I want to be able to keep an eye on you." Buffy glanced around the basement. "We can clean this up. Make this look better. It'll be a decent room." She turned back to Faith. "So?"

"Yeah, okay B. It's all good." Faith wanted to maintain her cool, but her heart was doing triple time. "Not as nice as my new place, but I can adjust." She tried to be casual, running her hand through her tangled locks, and reaching in her pocket for a cigarette.

"No smoking." Buffy frowned, displeased that the brunette had picked up the habit.

"Um... yeah, okay B." The little slayer reached and snatched the pack from her.

This isn't going to be easy, but Faith still couldn't believe her good fortune. Staying here with B, being around her, and having Buffy care... well, it seemed like winning the lottery. She couldn't keep the smile from her face.

Buffy had one other question. She stood up and turned away from the brunette, uncomfortable with what it might mean, but she had to ask. "Faith, did you leave me a gift?"

"No. Why would I do that?!" Faith looked away embarrassed.

"Is this how you want to start out? Lying?" She stared closely at the brunette, causing her to blush furiously, before relenting. "Okay, Faith. Get up. We have to go get your stuff."

Faith scrambled after her little goddess, prepared to do whatever was necessary. She had not realized how elated forgiveness might feel, but if this was a taste, she wanted more.

"Right behind ya, B."

"Yep. I know." Buffy climbed the stairs, closing her eyes against the delicious tingling that now enveloped. It felt good. She hoped Faith wouldn't let her down. She didn't want to ever lose this feeling again. It reminded her of heaven. Sighing she opened the basement door, and let Faith walk past her just to reassure herself that the brunette was really back.

Part 6 - Faith's New Little Friend

Buffy spoke to the scoobies while Faith waited in the training room. She could hear arguing and some complaining and then silence. The door opened quickly and startled her.

"C'mon Faith, time to go home and get you settled." Buffy sounded resolute.

"Uh... yeah, sure." The brunette walked out, nervous about facing the waiting scoobies.

"Faith, we've all talked this out, and we're willing to give you this last chance, but if you screw up..." Willow's words hung in the air, just as the threat was meant to.

"I know, Red. I got it. Thanks." Faith glanced at her fellow slayer, blushing. "I'm not gonna let Buffy down. Not this time.... not ever again." Buffy's expression remained unreadable.

"It's good to have you back. I missed you." Dawn rushed over and hugged her.

"Missed you too, kiddo." Faith returned the hug then stepped over to Xander and held out her hand.

"I want you to know I'm sorry and I hope we can work together... no hard feelings?" Faith smiled as Xander took her hand, shaking it vigorously.

"I guess we can use another, slayer. Hellmouth and all..." He cleared his throat awkwardly and moved back over to Anya's side.

Spike saw this as an opportunity and made his way over to the brunette. "Hey there gorgeous, remember me?"

Faith snickered and took his hand. She didn't notice Buffy's eyes narrowing.

"Okay, that's enough. We need to get Faith's stuff moved in, and a schedule set. Willow, Tara we'll see you at the house. Dawn, Faith get it the car." Buffy ordered the group about. They obeyed without question. Faith smiled as she fell into line with them.

...........

"Dawn, get in here. Dinner's ready. Oh and go get Faith."

The teenager gave an exasperated sigh and stomped out of the room to do as she was told.

"Faaaiithh!" She knocked heavily at the door trying to be heard over Faith's music.

"Enter."

"Hey." The younger brunette pushed the door open cautiously.

"Hey yourself." Faith smiled up at her.

"Wow Faith, you really fixed it up down here." Dawn stood hesitantly on the stairs.

"Yeah? Thanks."

"Can I come down?"

"Sure, peanut."

Dawn scrunched up her face at the nickname, but smiled despite herself. Faith had invited her into her room; and that's more than Buffy would ever do.

"Wow, the place really looks great. It's a total hang out now. I can't believe how cool you made it."

The dark slayer grinned, proud of herself. She'd only been there two days, but was pretty pleased with how the place turned out. It was great having a ton of money. She could throw it away on anything she saw fit. Faith went all out and furnished the little basement.

"Do you think B will like it?"

Dawn rolled her eyes. "Who cares?!"

"Hey you two! Get your butts up here! Dinner is getting cold."

"Oops. Uh... yeah, I was supposed to tell ya." Dawn looked down, embarrassed that she had gotten Faith in trouble.

"It's okay, kiddo. We'll suffer together." She winked at the teenager as they got up and made their way up the stairs.

The blonde slayer gave them a disapproving look as they sat down. "Wil, are you going to school tomorrow?"

"Yes, why?"

"I want you to take Faith with you and get her signed up to take the G.E.D. test."

"What?! I don't need to take any test, B."

"Yes, you do if you're going to sign up at the college. Cut your steak smaller, Faith."

"I didn't say nothin' about any college classes." Faith frowned.

"No but I am. Dawn, you need to eat more vegetables. You too Faith." Buffy reached over and scooped more peas onto both the girls plates causing them to groan in unison.

Tara smiled at the scene. "I'll take Faith to sign up. Willow's got an early exam."

"Yeah, that would be better Buffy." The red head agreed. "Is Faith going to start training with you? We should have the class times figured out first." Willow smiled as she reached past the younger slayer. She knew going to school was the last thing Faith had intended so it seemed fitting punishment. She was more than willing to help that along.

Dawn and Faith sat making faces as they were discussed. Dawn giggling occasionally as Faith rolled her eyes. Buffy looked up in annoyance.

"Uh... sorry, B. Just messing around."

"If you two are done with dinner you're excused. Take your plates in the kitchen."

"Cool. Hey, Dawn ya wanna come downstairs and hang out while I finish my room."

"Yeah." The teenager perked up excited.

"Dawn, you have homework."

"Awww.. she can bring it downstairs. C'mon B." Faith asked sweetly with Dawn whining in the backround.

"Pleassseee Buffy."

"Fine, but I'm going to check it before you go to bed." The two brunettes ran out of the room as if escaping some torture.

"Buffy, do you really think Faith is a good person to let Dawn hang around?" Willow watched after them uncertain.

"In the past, no. But I trust Dawn's judgment... We'll see about Faith's." Buffy said under her breath as she heard the two girls stomping down the stairs and into the basement.

...............

"So Faith tell me... Did you give my sister that bracelet?" Dawn gave the older girl a knowing look.

"Can you keep a secret, half-pint?"

"Yeah." Dawn edged closer as Faith turned the stereo up.

"Yup. Did she like it?"

"Well, yeah but she thinks freaky Spike gave it to her so she won't wear it."

"Nah, kiddo. I think she knows. She already asked me." The brunette slayer got up to hang another picture.

"Really? So you like my sister." Dawn grinned big. She was in on a secret. A secret that involved her sister. This was too cool. "You want me to tell you a secret?"

"What?" Faith adjusted the frame. Trying to straighten it. "How does this look?"

"Cool. Now listen. Buffy, doesn't know that I know this. But her and Spike... well Spike likes her. You know that don't you?"

Faith nodded, trying to hide her jealousy. "Yeah, so?" She turned to nail another picture up.

"Well her and Spike have kissed." Dawn giggled. Faith totally missed the nail, putting the hammer into the wall. "Oops! You better hang a picture over that or Buffy will kill you." The little brunette laughed as Faith pulled the hammer loose.

Part 7 - Training

Faith watched wearily as Buffy circled her again. She was supposed to being blocking the smaller slayer's attacks, but the proximity of the tiny blonde was proving to be too distracting. Slam! She was knocked to the floor again. This time Buffy sat heavily on her laughing.

"Faith, when's the last time you've sparred?"

The brunette laid on floor grinning up at her fellow slayer. She could feel Buffy's warmth through the tiny pair of shorts. The little blonde was straddling her stomach, and the sensation was so damn delicious. "Huh?... What?"

"Ugh! Faith, if you're not gonna even try..." The small slayer got up and pulled Faith to her feet. "Sit over there. I still need to workout."

Faith went over to the edge of the mat and stretched while Buffy used the punching bag. She was stealing glances at the tiny blonde. The thin sheen of sweat covering Buffy was making Faith's heart race.

Buffy worked out on the bag while she berated the younger slayer. "Listen Faith.. *punch* I know you're out of.. *kick* shape but... *punch* I expect... *spinning kick* you to work extra hard... *double punch* I need you ready... *kick* to fight." She swung a few more times at the bag before turning to look at Faith. The dark slayer sat gazing at her.

Buffy frowned and shook her head. She began peeling the tape off of her hands as she strolled over. "Faith, what's wrong with you? You never would let someone kick your butt like that. Are you really that rusty?"

The pretty brunette nodded as she continued to stare stupidly, mesmerized. Sweaty, panting Buffy was just too much for the younger girl. She was spellbound. Faith couldn't remember the little slayer ever looking so beautiful or so sexy, and she especially liked Buffy's new cute haircut.

"Faith! Are you even listening to me?!" The older slayer's tone was one of exasperation. "FAITH!"

The brunette quickly got to her feet. "Uh... yeah. Sorry B. Um... you wanna try again?"

"No. No, that's enough for today. Go wait in the car."

.......................

"Your sister so busted me zoning out today. Has she said anything to you, Dawn? Does she know?" Faith grabbed another slice of pizza as Dawn reached over and changed the channel.

"Nah. It's okay, Faith. She doesn't know anything. She's pretty dense." The two of them had their feet up, munching pizza, and watching tv down in Faith's room. Everyone's favorite hang out was now the basement. Or at least the cool people's favorite hangout as Dawn had put it.

"Are you guys down there?"

"Yeah, Spike come on down." Dawn called out, excited that Spike had come over. Faith rolled her eyes but moved over on the sofa to make room for him.

"What are you two doing, nibblet? And were's big sis?"

"At work. We're just watching tv, right Faith?" Dawn smiled at her new idols, Faith and Spike.

"William the bloody, what do we owe the pleasure to?" The dark slayer sniped, a tad irritable. Just knowing Buffy had kissed him made her blood boil.

"Looking for my lighter, and here to say hi to nibblet... and you."

"Really?" Faith arched an eyebrow and glanced over at Dawn who giggled. "Tell you what, since you seem to have a lot of spare time, and I do at the moment too. Maybe, you'd like to train. I'm out of shape and B's givin' me hell because of it."

Spike laughed. "Yeah, I know how goldilocks can be. Ridin' ya pretty hard, is she? That sounds like the slayer. Erh... um... I mean Buffy."

"No. It's okay. I'm use to her being "the slayer". It doesn't bother me anymore." Faith shrugged and got up. "Are you coming with half pint? We're gonna go to Spike's crypt." She turned and looked at the platinum blonde vamp. "Is that alright?"

"Yeah, sure. Let's go."

The three of them headed out. Faith ducked her head into the living room. "Red, I'm going to workout at Spike's and Dawn's coming with."

"Uh-huh." Willow was on the phone. She waved to group without really hearing Faith.

.................

Buffy walked in, exhausted from work at the Doublemeat Palace. "Hey you guys, I'm home."

"Hey Buffy." Tara smiled as she came in the kitchen to get a drink.

"Where's Dawn and Faith?"

Part 8 - Grounded

Buffy picked up the mail glancing through it. "I was going to take them out to dinner. Oh, you and Willow are welcome to come with." She reached over and opened the basement door. "Dawnie, Faith come on up. We're going to dinner."

Tara looked nervously to Willow who had just walked in. "Hon', she's looking for Dawn and Faith. Are you going to tell her?"

"Uh... yeah." The red head peered over at Buffy.

"What?" The little slayer frowned.

"Buffy, they're not here."

"Not Here?! It's a school night for Dawn. And I don't want Faith just going out; she might get in trouble. You know that. So what's going on? Did they sneak out?! I swear I am so going to kick both their butts for this." Buffy rushed over to the counter and picked up her car keys. "Call Xander. We'll need help looking for them."

"Buffy, wait. I know where they're at. I kinda told them that they could go."

"Well, where are they?!" The little blonde was trying hard to control her temper.

"Um... Now try not to explode, Buffy." Willow paled slightly.

"WHERE ARE THEY?!"

"They went to Spike's." Willow cringed as she said it.

"WHAT!!!!!" Buffy stormed out, cursing. "Wil, I don't know what you're thinking. I don't want either of them going there. Spike's crypt is off limits."

The two witches trailed after her. "Buffy, calm down."

"Do not tell me to calm down! I'm trying to get two very difficult girls to behave and what do you guys do... YOU LET THEM LEAVE WITH AN EVIL UNDEAD THING!" Buffy raged as they made their way to the cemetery.

...............

"Faith, a right hook. Throw a right hook." Dawn cheered her on.

"What peanut?" Faith asked just as the crypt door opened, she turned and Spike caught her across the jaw.

"Aww shit! Slayer, don't you knock?!"

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?" Buffy rushed over and caught Faith. "Dawn get your little butt over here we're going home."

"Wait! Is Faith alright?" Dawn rushed over to her sister who was lifting the unconscious slayer.

"Yes, she'll be fine! NOW GO WITH WILLOW AND TARA! I want to talk with Spike."

"Geez, Buffy! Have a cow why don't you!"

"C'mon Dawnie." Willow gently ushered the teenager out.

Buffy turned her wrath on the blonde vampire. "Spike, I want you to stay away! You're not a good influence. Do you understand me?! STAY AWAY FROM FAITH!"

"I believe your slayer there is an adult. She can make her own choices."

"She's barely an adult." Buffy adjusted the brunette in arms. "And she doesn't have what I'd call a good record as far as choices go. I don't want you hanging around Faith!"

"What's the matter are you jealous?" He smirked at the tiny slayer's rage.

"Damn you, Spike! What is it with you and slayers anyway?! Look I'm warning you, I better never find them in your crypt again or I'll stake you myself!" Buffy shouted as she strode out carrying Faith.

"Yeah, yeah slayer... Sing me another one, why don't ya?!" Spike snorted as the little slayer slammed the door.

...................

As soon as they got in the house Dawn was ordered up to her room, while Buffy carried Faith down to the basement. Tara followed with some ice and the glass of water that the little slayer requested.

"Are you sure she's okay, Buffy?"

"She's fine. Faith's always had a glass jaw. It's easy to knock this girl out if you hit her just right. I know the spot; Spike just got lucky." Buffy leaned over Faith. "Watch." She gently pressed on Faith's neck just behind her ear, and the brunette's eyes popped open.

"Huh? What happened?"

"That's amazing." Tara smiled down at Buffy.

"See. You just have to know the right spots on Faith." She shrugged and sat the younger slayer up. "Here. Drink."

"Thanks." Faith shook her head, then sipped the water slowly. "What happened, B?"

"You got your clock cleaned. That's what happened. What were you doing at Spike's anyway? And sparring with him no less?! You're not ready for that. You could have gotten hurt."

"Whatever! Lucky punch!" Faith was embarrassed. He had actually knocked her out cold and in front of everyone. *Dammit!*

"That may be, but I kicked your butt this morning. You're not in slayer shape yet. What were you thinking?" She chastised her as she placed the ice to the younger girl's cheek.

"B, that's why. I was going to try and get in extra training with Spike. So that I wouldn't take so long getting up to speed. That's all. I swear." Faith looked to Tara for support. "An' I didn't even smoke... even though I was dying for a cigarette. You can ask Dawn."

"Shhh... Fine. Lay back down." Buffy gently stroked Faith's hair. "Now listen. I don't want you and Dawn hanging around Spike. Do you understand me?"

"Why? What do you mean?! He's good enough for you to kiss!" Faith growled jealously.

"I'm not going to discuss this." She frowned and got up. "I've laid down the rules and you're going to obey them. Oh and by the way, you can consider yourself grounded. Both you and Dawn aren't to leave this house without permission from me. You got it?!"

"What?! Are you insane! I'm eighteen!" Faith shouted indignant. "This is ridiculous, B!"

"No, what's ridiculous is that you're arguing with me! It's my way or the highway, Faith. You decide." Buffy walked up the stairs, ready to go deal with Dawn.

Part 9 - Revelations

Faith stood in the training room waiting for Buffy. She was still pissed at the whole being grounded thing. It was pretty humiliating to be grounded along with Buffy's kid sister. And besides they hadn't done anything wrong. *Frickin' Buffy! Letting this whole in charge thing go to her head! Screw her!*

Faith stopped mid thought when Buffy entered wearing her work-out clothes and a big smile. Her heart did a flip flop and all her anger was forgotten. She smiled back at the little blonde. "Hi B. Ya ready?"

"The question is are YOU ready, Faithy. Now I want you to concentrate on keeping your left side guarded better. You keep dropping your arm. Got it?"

Faith nodded and held her hands higher as Buffy jabbed at her. "That a girl. Try mixing it up better. You need to kick more, but lead with your right."

Faith's eyes dropped to Buffy's chest which was soon heaving with every breath. Bam! She took a hit to the face.

"Faith, you dropped your arm again. Sweetie, what do I have to do? Knock you out everyday?! LIFT YOUR GUARD!" Buffy frowned and followed Faith's eyes. *What?! Is she looking at my chest?!*

Bam! Faith jabbed Buffy good. "Now who's dropping their guard!" The brunette sang out gleefully. "See B, I still got it."

Buffy stumbled back a little, but laughed. "Okay. Try some kicks now."

They circled a few times before Faith made a move. Buffy easily countered it and grabbed the brunette's leg, throwing her onto her back. She then jumped on top, out of breath, and panting. "Okay, Faithy. Now you know what you did wrong there, don't you?"

Faith lay still, focusing on Buffy's body pressed to hers. Every inch where their skin touched was on fire. She could hardly breath; it was ecstasy. *Fuck!* She closed her eyes and then reopened them. Buffy was right above her face, leaning close. If she lifted her head a little, their lips would touch. *Holy shit!*

"Faith, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Buffy looked closely into the younger slayer's eyes. What she saw shocked her. Desire, pure and simple, and intense! Amazingly intense! Buffy's heart sped up. She felt a rush of heat between her legs and a tingling that left her aching. *Oh god!* She looked back into Faith's dark eyes and then at her full, soft lips.... so delicious! And they were so close. She could just...

"Buffy! Hey Buffy! Faith! Are you guys back here?" Dawn could be heard coming to the door.

Buffy leapt off the younger slayer. And brushed herself off, trying to catch her breath. "Yeah, Dawn. Back here!"

"Hey guys, are we going for ribs tonight?" Dawn didn't like ribs, but she knew Faith did. She smiled at the younger slayer. "Hey Faith."

"Hey yourself, Peanut." The brunette awkwardly got to her feet and walked over to her new best friend. She was still a bit shaky. "Um... how was school?"

"You know. There." Dawn shrugged, watching curiously as Buffy quickly left the room. "What going on?" She whispered to the dark slayer.

"I don't know. I think..." Faith stopped when the little blonde walked in. Tara and Willow were behind her.

"Hi Faith."

"Hey Red. Tara." Faith glanced at her fellow slayer nervously.

"Dawn go get your books. We're ready to go." Buffy turned and finally looked at Faith, strangely. "That's enough for today, Faith. Get your stuff."

The little blonde strode out still puzzling to herself. *Oh my god! I almost kissed her! I wanted to kiss her! Damn, how I wanted to kiss her! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME! UGH! She's practically Dawn's age!!! BUFFY, YOU SICK PERV!*

Part 10 - Ribs And A Slayer Sandwich

The hostess took them to their table. "This is the only booth we have open. If you all want to squish in or you can wait. It'll be another half hour though."

"No way. I'm starved." Faith complained causing Dawn to giggle.

"God, Faith you're always hungry."

"Watch it. You do okay yourself there, Half-pint." Faith nudged her.

"Ugh! Stop calling me Half-pint. I'm taller than Buffy."

"Everyone is taller than B." They both laughed even the two witches chuckled. Buffy scowled then turned to the hostess.

"This table is fine. Thank you." The little slayer turned toward the teenagers. "Faith, you in first." Buffy waited until Faith sat then scooted in. Dawn rolled her eyes and sat down.

The two witches snickered as they slid in on the other side. Buffy responded, "Have to keep them separate or they'll drive us crazy during dinner."

"I don't know, I can still hear Dawn. Hey Dawn, can you hear me?" Faith peeked around Buffy causing the younger brunette to laugh and egg her on.

"Yup, can hear you too. But we can always talk louder if we have to." She giggled some more.

"Alright you two. That's enough. Look at your menus." The little blonde handed each of them a menu, giving them a stern look.

Willow and Tara exchanged a glance, trying not to laugh. It was just too funny watching Buffy play parent, especially since Dawn and Faith had formed some kind of bond and were just hell bent on driving Buffy insane. Willow finally giggled.

Buffy looked up. "What?"

"Um... nothing. Just deciding what to eat." Willow cleared her throat before shooting Tara a smile behind the menu.

"Hey squirt, whatcha havin'?" Faith called out to Dawn.

"Don't know. Are you having the ribs?"

"Nah.. too messy."

"SO?!"

"Okay, I'll get ribs if you do... then we can both be pigs together." Faith peeked around Buffy and winked.

"Deal." Dawn put her menu down as they both laughed.

Faith watched Buffy studying her menu; she gestured to Dawn. The little brunette nodded and then they both scooted in squishing Buffy between them and breaking out into a fit of giggles.

The tiny slayer was caught off guard and had the air knocked from her. "Oomph!" She shoved Dawn over angrily. "That's enough you two! Cut it out!"

Willow and Tara burst into laughter at Buffy's exasperated expression. It was just too cute.

"You guys, aren't helping any!" The little blonde looked at the two witches accusingly.

"Oh... god... We're... we're sorry." Tara got the words out in between giggles, glancing over at Willow as the two of them starting laughing some more.

Buffy's eyes narrowed. "Everyone better be ready to order when the waitress comes."

They all settled down slowly. Faith noticed that Buffy was still pressed up against her, and became silent. She was having trouble breathing normal as she focused on the intoxicating sensation. *Buffy Summers pressed against me... mmmm... her arm touching mine... her thigh pressed against mine... oh wow... yummy Buffy... mmm...*

"Faith, did you hear me?!"

"Huh? What?"

"Your turn to order." Buffy appeared slightly annoyed.

"Oh." Faith blushed crimson as she muttered. "Um... I'll have the rib thing... I guess, rib platter combo... thanks." She handed the waitress the menu. "And a Jack and Coke."

Buffy arched an eyebrow. "She'll have a coke, thank you." Dawn giggled and Faith scowled at Buffy.

As the waitress walked away, Faith complained. "Way to go, B. She would have got it for me; I can tell... until you went and spoiled it that is."

"Faith, you're under age and if you think I'm just going to sit here and let you drink, you've got another thing coming, missy." Buffy snapped her. "Now quiet down."

Faith crossed her arms and sat back glaring. Willow had to stifle her smirk; she didn't want to make things worse. It was obvious Faith's pride had been injured in front of everyone, and Willow recognized that as one of the younger slayer's worse punishments. Suddenly torturing Faith, wasn't as foremost on her mind as previously. The red headed witch cleared her throat and tried to change the subject.

"Um... yeah, so Tara picked up the information from the college. Faith can take the test in two weeks, and sign up next semester." Willow suddenly realized she brought up the wrong thing when the younger slayer's face darkened. *Oops... Ooh...* Willow gave her an apologetic look as Buffy jumped on it.

"Good. Faith, you're going to start studying for the test during all your free time. Tara and Willow can help you in between classes and I'll quiz you during my time off. This is great, we'll have her signed up for next semester." Buffy spoke matter-of-factly turning to the two witches.

"Yeah... great..." Faith turned away from the tiny slayer. "Who even said I wanted to go to school?!" She griped.

"Not now, Faith. We'll discuss this later." Buffy suddenly wanted to strangle the her.

"Hey Faith," Dawn decided to change the subject since the mood of the dinner seemed to be going downhill. "Um... Janice has to come over tomorrow to help me on a project. Is it cool if we hang out in your room while you're at training?"

"Yeah, Peanut. Anytime." Faith still sounded sullen so Dawn tried again.

"Faith, you wanna race to see who can eat all their ribs first."

Faith laughed. "You know that's not even a contest, Squirt. I can eat you under the table anytime." They were both laughing now. Willow and Tara smiled at them.

"You wanna bet?!" Dawn challenged her, still snickering.

Buffy gave an exaggerated sigh and announced, "There will be no betting on the eating of ribs. Now sit back, Dawn; the food's here."

"Spoil sport." Dawn made a face at her sister, but sat back so the waitress could put the plates down.

At least the mood was lightened as they dug into their ribs. Faith munched happily, noticing that every now and then Buffy reached across her for something. The contact was electrifying. She had to stifle a groan when Buffy's arm accidentally brushed against her breast. Her nipples instantly stiffened. Faith could feel her face burning and wondered if Buffy noticed how hard her nipples just got.

The little blonde glanced down. She could see Faith's chest straining against the thin tank top. Her nipples were perfectly visible and sticking out. She had felt the younger slayer's nipple hardened when she brushed up against her. Buffy peered at Faith. The brunette closed her eyes for a moment then took a deep breath as she reached for her coke.

*Oh my god, she likes it.* Buffy pressed her thigh up against the younger girl's. She felt Faith tremble slightly. It struck her as incredibly erotic. Buffy felt herself become flushed.

"So Buffy, are you going to?"

"I'm sorry. What was that Wil?" The little slayer was caught distracted.

"Are you going to call Giles and invite him to town for his birthday? Maybe we can convince him to move back." Tara tilted her head indicating for Faith.

"Oh yeah. Uh-huh, I'll call him tonight." Buffy nodded, stealing a glance at Faith. The brunette had just tossed her last rib bone to the plate.

"Ta-Da! I win, Short-stuff!" Faith declared shoving her bone ridden plate forward so Dawn could see.

"No fair. You got special eating powers. I've seen Buffy scarf down her food before too; it must be a slayer thing!"

"Hey!" Buffy turned to her little sister, offended. "Enough speculation, on the habits of slayers. Finish your dinner. We still have to get you home in time to do your homework."

Faith laughed. "Ha!Ha!"

"What are you laughing for? You'll be doing homework soon enough too!" Dawn teased.

"Heck no! Not if I can help it!" The younger slayer shot back.

"Girls." Tara tried to interfere before Buffy lost her temper.

"Faith, you have sauce all over your face. Look at me." Buffy dipped her napkin into her water and then leaned in to wipe the dark slayer's face.

Faith could feel Buffy's hand resting on her leg. Her fingertips lightly grazing the inside of Faith's upper thigh. The younger slayer swallowed hard and closed her eyes as she blushed. "Geez! Are ya done, B?" She glanced at the others to see if they noticed anything odd. But no one seemed to be paying attention. "Please B. This is embarrassing."

"Stop being a baby and hold still." Buffy's hand pressed more firmly on Faith's thigh as she leaned closer. "How'd you get sauce on your neck? Tilt your head back."

Faith could feel Buffy strumming her fingers. It was tickling the inside of her thighs. *Holy shit... what's she doing?!* The brunette struggled to sit still. She knew her panties were now soaked.

"Are you guys ready to leave?" They looked over as Tara and Willow started to get up.

*Ugh! What am I doing?!* Buffy pulled her hand back quickly. "Yep. We're ready. Right, Faith?"

"Uh-huh." The brunette's voice cracked slightly.

Part 11 - Scaredy-Slayer

Faith flopped down on her couch. "Dawn turn the tv up."

"Wait. I thought I heard someone knocking." Dawn muted the television.

The basement door opened slowly and Buffy poked her head in. "Hey you guys. Whatcha doing?"

"Ugh! Nothing! Go away!" Dawn called out in a bratty tone.

Faith nudged her, whispering. "Be nice." Then yelled up to Buffy. "B, why don't you come on down and watch the movie with us."

"Okay." Buffy brightened and came down the stairs. "If you want me to." She settled on the couch between Dawn and Faith.

"Geez, sit on the floor." Dawn shoved against her sister.

"Squirt, be nice." Faith shook her head disapprovingly.

"Fine." Dawn just rolled her eyes and got up. She moved to sit in the beanbag chair across the room. "Turn out the lights, Faith. It makes the movie scarier."

The brunette slayer went to switch off the lights and brought out a couple of blankets. "Here Half-pint. You cold?"

"Thanks." Dawn caught the blanket Faith tossed to her.

"B, you want me to get you one too."

"No, I'll share yours." The little blonde smiled up at her.

"Uh.. okay." Faith sat down and spread the blanket over both of them.

"Shhh... it's starting." Dawn hushed the slayers.

Buffy scowled. "How did you rent a movie anyway, Faith? You know you're still grounded?!"

"Relax, B. Didn't. It's pay preview."

"Yeah. Faith, has cable. They came and turned it on yesterday." Dawn announced. "Now be quiet, I've never seen this movie."

Faith leaned close to the little slayer and whispered. "I had them turn it on for the upstairs tv too, B."

"Thanks Faith. You didn't have to. I'm sure Dawnie appreciates it." She smiled warmly.

"I don't know. Do you appreciate it, Squirt?" The dark slayer teased.

"Hey, would you two big mouths hush?! You're gonna make me miss the beginning." Dawn tossed a pillow at them.

Faith caught it, laughing. "See, B. Didn't think so."

"What movie, Dawn?" Buffy looked over at her little sister.

"It's `I Know What You Did Last Summer'. Janice told me it's pretty good."

"Yuck! I don't like horror movies." Buffy folded her arms, displeased. "I get enough scary in real life, thank you."

"Awww B. It's not that scary. Besides I'll protect you." Faith grinned at the smaller slayer. "I kinda have super powers, yunno." The brunette winked at her.

Buffy giggled and leaned back. "Alright. I'll hold you to that promise. But don't complain when I'm curled up against you, scared like a baby."

"I won't complain. Honest." Faith frowned at Dawn's snicker. "Short- stuff, I'm warning you."

"Sorry." Dawn stifled her giggle and faced the tv.

"What's so funny?" Buffy arched an eyebrow looking at the younger slayer.

"Don't know. Shhhh." Faith was glad for the dark. She knew she was blushing hard.

"Oh Freddie Prinze Jr. is in this. Hurray, he's so cute." Buffy clapped her hands. It wasn't long though before they were all into the movie.

Faith seemed to be entranced with one of the other characters. "Damn B, that Helen girl looks like you. Hope she doesn't buy it." The teenagers started teasing Buffy and calling the Helen character, Buffy instead.

"Uh-oh, Buffy's gonna get it. Here comes the hook guy." Dawn chanted, giggling as her sister cringed.

The little blonde screamed as she leaned up against Faith and hid her face. "Awww B, I'll protect you." The brunette put her arm around Buffy and held her, laughing.

Dawn looked over at Faith hugging her sister and wiggled her eyebrows. *Ugh! Dawn, cut it out!* The younger slayer made a face at her, but Dawn just laughed louder.

"Scaredy-slayer! Geez Buffy, can you crawl any further into Faith's lap?!" The little brunette howled at the frustrated look on Faith's face.

"That's easy for you to say. There isn't someone who looks just like you being chased by a guy with a hook!"

"It's okay B. Hide your eyes and I'll tell you when it's over." Faith let Buffy snuggle up and hide her face. After awhile she noticed the tiny slayer had fallen asleep. *Dang... can't believe B's letting me hold her... she's soooo...* Faith looked down at the little blonde taking in Buffy's delicate features. The long eyelashes resting on rosy cheeks and the pouty mouth turned up into a slight smile. Faith sighed and held the smaller girl like something breakable.

"Hey," Dawn whispered. "The movie is over. I'm going to bed. Have fun." She winked at Faith.

"Squirt, you're lucky I have my hands full." Faith snorted, trying to appear threatening.

"Faithy's got a crush." Dawn giggled in a sing-song voice.

"I'm serious Dawn. Get lost." Faith starting getting nervous that Buffy might wake and hear her.

"Yeah, whatever. I'm outtie. Later." Dawn bounded up the stairs but closed the door quietly.

Faith glanced down at the little treasure still in her arms. Her heart raced. *What should I do with her?... I could put her in my bed... nahhh, I should carry her upstairs... but I could just sit here for awhile... wouldn't hurt nothin'...* The brunette smiled down at the tiny slayer, holding her closer.

Buffy had woken up right before the end of the movie, but she didn't want to move. She felt so comfortable, warm and safe. *Mmmm... Faith.* The little blonde continued to feign sleep, hoping Faith wouldn't bother getting up. But she doubted her fellow slayer would want to sleep sitting on the couch. *Hmmm... what to do?... I should just get up and go to bed... ohhh, but I don't want to... I'll just snuggle up for another minute... yeah...* She smiled as she pressed her cheek to Faith's chest. She could hear the dark slayer's heart beating fast. *Awww Faithy..*

Faith finally got up, lifting Buffy gently. She made her way up the stairs carefully, trying not to jar the sleeping slayer too much. Every couple of steps she looked down to check on her little bundle. Buffy's eyelashes fluttered and Faith couldn't resist hugging her tighter. She so wanted to kiss her.

"Okay B." The brunette whispered as she laid her gently down. Faith sat on the end of the bed and slipped off the tiny slayer's sneakers and socks. She smiled as she looked at Buffy's cute little feet. Then she lifted the blanket and tucked her in. "Goodnight." Faith hovered over her not wanting to leave. "Sleep tight." She spoke very softy. "Don't let the bedbugs bite." She sat for another moment before sighing and getting up. She was at the door prepared to leave and looked back. *Damn, just one.* She strode back over and leaned down, pressing her lips very gently to Buffy's and holding them there for a moment, just so she could feel the texture and warmth of the older slayer's lips. *Mmmmmmm...* Slowly she backed away her eyes still closed, and a big smile on her face as she slipped out quietly.

*Gawwwwwd!..* Buffy couldn't believe Faith was kissing her. *Yum.... mmmmm...* She opened her eyes and stole a peek as the brunette backed away. Faith had the sweetest, happiest smile on her face. It struck Buffy to the core. *Oh my god, I love her.* She quickly closed her eyes again, feeling guilty. *No! It's wrong!*

Part 12 - Train Me

Buffy stood in the cemetery, peering into the unfamiliar crypt. "Hey." She called out uncertain. "Spike, did you get it." The little blonde leaned in again.

"Bloody hell!" Spike was tossed out and the demon pounced.

"Crap!" Buffy swung the sword.

"His head, Slayer! You have to cut off his head!" The vampire shouted over to her. "Come on will ya! This doesn't tickle."

The demon had begun to strangle Spike. "We could really use another slayer out here!" He observed in frustration as the demon tossed him again.

Buffy spoke while hacking at the demon. "Faith, isn't..." The demon dodged her. "..ready!" She grunted out the last word, charging the demon and burying the sword deep in his chest. It's blood splattered all over her face and in her mouth. "Yuck!" She screamed and spit, trying to get the taste from her mouth. It was weird fluorescent stuff and gooey.

"What part of cutting off his head, did you not understand, Slayer?!" Spike barked jumping to his feet. "You don't want that blood on you!"

"Oh and it's not going to bleed if I chop its head off?!" She shouted back, pulling the sword and swinging at its head. She lopped it off with one motion. The body dropped lifeless and now amazingly bloodless as it fell to the ground. "Huh?!"

"Told you!" Spike sang out.

But it was too late for Buffy. She was already covered in the demon's blood. At least it was evaporating quickly. "What the hell?!" She wiped at the glowing goo.

"Jezus Slayer!" Spike came over laughing. "Don't you ever listen?!" She was covered from head to toe.

"SHUT UP!"

.....................

Buffy got out of the shower and made her way to her room slowly. For some reason she really wanted to go down stairs and check on Faith. *No.* She went into her own room and sat on the edge of her bed, letting her towel fall to the floor.

She was feeling strange, but in a good way. All tingly... right between her legs. *Mmmmm...* Buffy slipped her hand down and started to masturbate. *What's wrong with me?! I feel soooo horny!... Ahhhh!*

Her fingers slipped eagerly over the wet folds. *Oh god... I'm soaked!... mmmmm....yes!* She moved her hand faster as she felt the impending orgasm. "Oh god!" She moaned, struggling to be quiet. "Oh yes! Oh yes! Oh my god! Oh Faith!" She exploded, falling off the bed and to floor, panting obscenely. *Oh fuck!* Buffy laid there a moment, not even entirely certain what just happened.

She fell asleep where she was, on the floor. When she woke up the next morning a strange sensation, still tickled her. *Ugh! What is going on?!*

"B? Hey B! Are we going to train this morning?" Faith was knocking on her door.

"Uh... yeah. Just a minute, Faith."

...................

Buffy seemed to be acting strange when they left the house, but now everything seemed to be normal. They were training hard and Faith was having fun. Buffy was really wild and rough this morning. She liked it.

Faith stepped around Buffy's kick again, smirking. She was holding her own much better today. They had been training for nearly two hours and Buffy hadn't landed any significant blows. Or another way Faith looked at it was, she hadn't been knocked out yet.

They circled each other again, sweating and panting. Faith felt so aroused as she watched the little slayer eyeing her.

"C'mon B, show me what you got." Faith chuckled and winked at her. That was it. Buffy dove onto the brunette, shoving her back against the floor, and pinning Faith's body with her own.

"Is this what you want, Faith? Me kicking your ass." The tiny blonde snorted at Faith's surprised expression. She couldn't believe how easily Buffy pinned her. She thought that she had been sparring well, and in two moves Buffy had outdone her again. Faith frowned.

"Get off of me, B!"

"Awww... Is little Faithy gonna cry?" Buffy teased her without mercy, enjoying Faith's pouting. The brunette wasn't aware that she pouted as melodramatically as her fellow slayer. She thought her look was always tough.

"You heard me! Get off!" Faith complained bitterly.

A big smile spread across Buffy's face. She slowly rubbed her slippery sweaty body over Faith's. "Mmmmm... Are you sure that's what you want? For me to get... off?" The little slayer leered at her but made no move to get up.

Faith blushed furiously. "Yeah! What's got into you, B? Jeezus!"

"Okay Faith. I'll get off." Faith looked into Buffy's eyes fearfully, noticing they were slightly glazed and so dark green at the moment they were almost black.

She stammered nervously, "B, are you alright?"

"Uh-huh." The little slayer moaned and began rubbing slowly back and forth on Faith. "Yes." She hissed out the word as she grabbed the younger slayer's hands and pinned them above her head with one hand. The other hand reached low and tugged down Faith's shorts and her own sweat pants. Neither of them were wearing panties.

Buffy kept eye contact with Faith as she brought one of the brunette's hands between her legs and growled out. "Okay Faith, I'm ready. Get me off!" She brought her hand quickly between Faith's legs, causing the brunette to groan.

"Oh god B! Whatcha doing?!"

"Training you, Faithy."

Part 13 - Drunk On Demon Blood

Faith gasped as Buffy slid two fingers inside of her. "Jesus christ, B?!"

"Faith, I need you to fuck me. Right now! Do you hear me?! I need this!" Buffy grunted rubbing herself on Faith's hand in desperation.

"Okay B, okay." Faith ran her fingers over Buffy, closing her eyes in ecstasy. She couldn't believe she was actually touching Buffy's pussy. "Omigod B... can I... can I please... go down on you?" Faith groaned out.

"Yes!" Buffy quickly moved to kneel above the younger girl's face. The little slayer almost fainted when she felt Faith's tongue move slowly over her. "Oh Faith! Yessss!... Pleaseee...oh yes... Ahhhhhh!.. Mmmmmm!"

The brunette sucked gently on the tiny slayer's clitoris, holding onto her tight as Buffy bucked her hips. Her senses were filled with her little hero. *Damn, I love you B.*

The little blonde shuddered, gasping Faith's name as she came. Buffy's eyes rolled back and she climbed slowly off, looking down at the younger slayer confused.

"B, are you okay?" Faith asked, suddenly worried. Something was different about Buffy.

"Yeah, I'm just really tired." She barely finished the sentence before falling asleep.

Faith raised her eyebrows in surprise, before gently putting Buffy's sweat pants back on her. She pulled on her shorts while looking down at the older slayer with fear. *My poor B. Something is wrong.* She picked Buffy up and headed out of the workout room.

Faith glanced out the door, making sure the coast was clear, then she carried Buffy out of the store and toward home.

When she got to the house, she took Buffy upstairs and put her in bed. Then she headed back out to find Willow and Tara. She needed help. They had to take care of B. She'd just die if something happened to Buffy.

..........

"Faith, what are you doing here?" Willow asked when she walked out of her last class to find the brunette standing and waiting at the door.

"Something is wrong with B. She's actually really... um... not herself. I don't know how to explain, but I just know. Red, will you come home now and take a look at her? Please? You just can't let anything bad happen to B! Ya just can't!"

Willow was surprised by the sound of panic in Faith's voice. "Yeah, sure. Of course Faith, let's go."

...........

Buffy opened her eyes, squinting against the pain. *Owww!* She held her head which was now beginning to throb. It felt like a terrible hangover. Glancing around she realized she was in her own bed. *What the heck?! How'd I get here?*

There was a knock on her bedroom door. "B? Can we come in?"

*Omigod! Faith!* The memories of the training session started seeping in. She could feel a hot flush spread over her body. *What should I do?*

"Um... yeah. Come in."

Willow, Tara, and Spike entered the room. Faith came in behind the three of them, blushing as hard as her fellow slayer. She was unable to make eye contact.

"Slayer, I told you not to get that blood on you. It's like a drug." Spike eyed her curiously. "You've been acting pretty strange, I hear. You scared Luscious over here, good and proper." He nodded his head toward Faith.

Buffy peered over at her, but the dark slayer looked away in shame. She felt horribly guilty as if she had taken advantage of Buffy. Faith loved her, and now she was afraid everything between them would be spoiled.

The younger slayer just hoped Willow was right, and that Buffy wouldn't remember anything once she drank the antidote. It was too awful to think that her fondest dream had come true because Buffy was under some kind of spell. That's not the way Faith wanted Buffy. She wanted it to be real.

Tara stepped close to the little slayer, holding a cup. "Buffy, you need to drink this. It should offset the effects of the demon blood."

"Uh... okay. Thanks." She smiled up at Tara as she took the cup and drank slowly. Her headache began to subside.

"Drink it all." Willow sat next to Buffy on the bed, waiting for her to empty the cup. "Good slayer." She teased taking it from Buffy. "You should call in to work and stay home tonight. Spike and Faith can go patrolling."

Buffy just nodded and looked toward Faith, but the brunette had already left the room. *Oh shit!* Buffy's heart sank. *What have I done?!*

"Thanks Wil. I'm going to go back to sleep for awhile." Buffy laid back and watched the others leave the room.

"Sounds like a good idea. Sleep and when you wake up, you probably won't remember a thing." The red head gave her hug and got up to leave.

*What if I want to remember?* Buffy closed her eyes, her thoughts filled with Faith.

Part 14 - Sharing the Wealth

Faith was sitting in her room with Dawn, trying to work on calming down.

"Faith, it can't be that bad. Don't worry about it. I know my sister. Whatever it is that happened she'll forgive you for it... If there's something that even needs forgiving." Dawn gave the dark slayer a skeptical look. She was convinced that Faith was exaggerating the seriousness of whatever took place. But there was no way to be certain, since Faith refused to tell her any details.

All Dawn knew was that something had happened, but she didn't know what. She assumed that maybe they had kissed. And Faith was just upset because it had happened while Buffy was under the influence of that demon blood. That's the most Dawn could surmise from the cryptic description that she had been given.

"Well, I'm kinda hoping that the potion Tara and Willow gave her, makes her... ya know, kinda forget. `Cause I shouldn't of done it, Dawn. I knew somethin' was wrong. She was being so unBuffylike, ya know."

"It's okay, Faith. I don't hold it against you. I know you like my sister. And who knows, maybe Buffy likes you too. I've never asked her, but I can if you want. And don't worry, I'll be discreet."

"No Squirt, that wouldn't be right. I have to figure this out for myself. I don't want to get you involved or it might mess with our friendship... better to keep it separate." Faith looked away blushing. "You're like my best friend, ya know."

Dawn smiled and ran over to hug the slayer. "You're my best friend too, Faith."

There was knock at the basement door. "Enter." Faith called out. The door creaked open and Willow ducked her head in.

"Hey, what are you guys doing? You want to get some pizza?" She came down the stairs with Tara close behind.

"Yeah sure. Faith and I can go for some pizza, right Faith? And we can all hang out down here and watch a movie too." Dawn said enthusiastically.

Faith just smiled and nodded. She got up and took an envelope from the table, handing it to Willow. "Here Red. I wanted to give you this. It's my rent money. B told me you that handle this stuff, so I guess I should give it to you."

"Thanks Faith. I'll put it into the household account." She smiled at the young slayer as she opened it, then furrowed her brow. "Wait a minute. I can't take this, Faith. It's way too much."

"No really, you can. I want to contribute and help B out. I can afford to you know. Didn't B tell you?"

Willow shook her head. "Tell me what?"

"That I'm kinda rich now. The mayer left me millions or somethin'. I'm not even sure, but the lawyers know. See." Faith handed Willow a large manila envelope with papers in it. "Maybe, if you don't mind you can help me with it. I know you're pretty smart and stuff. The Mayor's creepy lawyers have hired some money manager guy, but I don't trust him... on account of them being evil and all." Dawn and Tara laughed at Faith's candor.

"I'd be happy to help you with this stuff." Willow sat down on one the slayer's sofas, and pulled out the papers to look at them. Her eyes grew large as she read the figures at the bottom. "Tara, come here." She held it out for her girlfriend to look at.

"Oh my goodness! Faith, do even realize how rich you are?!" Tara turned to look at the brunette who simply shrugged.

"Sorta, I guess. Hey, maybe now you guys can help me explain to B why I don't need to go back to school. I don't need to learn a bunch of crap just so I can get a good job; I can go without working."

"Faith, Buffy wants you to go to school because she cares about you, not because she thinks you need to get a job." Willow spoke up; she felt Buffy was right. School is always a good thing, and it would be good for Faith.

"You think that's why? Really?" Faith became quiet before nodding. "Okay, then I'll go."

The two witches smiled as did Dawn.

"See that's the spirit, Faith. We can do school together." Dawn reached down and hugged Faith. Then tried to grab the papers from Willow. "How rich is my best friend anyway?" She laughed as the witch pulled them away.

"Never you mind, Dawnie. I don't want you to become de-motivated." Willow tucked the documents back into the envelope. "Faith, I'm going to get a safety deposit box for you and we'll put these papers in it, okay?"

The young slayer just shrugged again; none of it interested her that much. She knew that now she could buy cool things. The concept of just how large the sum of money was seemed beyond her.

"Thanks Red. You take care of that junk for me and you can take money for doing it."

"We'll see Faith. First, I'll look into getting the right people for you. We'll worry about investments later." Willow ruffled Faith's hair. Suddenly Faith seemed just like a kid to her. *Buffy and Tara are right. In a lot of ways, Faith is a young eighteen.* She smiled at the two brunettes and reached for the phone to order their pizzas.

..........................

Buffy woke up feeling very rested and good. She stretched, smiling. *Mmmm... Faithy..* Her smile quickly faded as she remembered what happened. *Poor Faith!* It was wonderful for her, but she could tell that she had upset the young slayer. Forcing herself on Faith had, according to Spike, scared her.

She didn't want her fellow slayer to feel awkward. The little blonde decided it would be better to pretend it didn't happen. Apparently with the antidote, Willow said that was a possibility. At least that way, Faith wouldn't be uncomfortable around her, and everything could return to normal.

*I'll just have to deal with this and keep my perverse desires to myself. I'll leave poor little Faithy alone. Besides, I don't want to undermine my authority as her watcher.* With the decision now made, Buffy got out of bed and headed downstairs for breakfast.

Everyone was already at the table. Dawn and Faith were reading the comics, Willow was making pancakes for them, and Tara was looking over Dawn's homework.

"Good morning, how are all my girls?" Buffy smiled brightly at everyone.

"Rich!" Dawn squeaked, looking up at her sister. Buffy glanced at her confused.

"Morning B." Faith greeted Buffy without looking up.

"That's enough, Dawnie." Willow gave her a stern look as she set the plates in front of the girls.

"What is she talking about?" Buffy turned to the red head, confused.

"Faith's inheritance." Tara responded looking up.

"Oh." Buffy walked past them and got a cup of coffee. "Okay everyone, I hear I was pretty scary yesterday so I'd just like to apologize now... for whatever I did." She glanced over at Faith who seemed suddenly relieved.

"No problem B." The young slayer peered over at Dawn. "She didn't do anything that bad, right kiddo."

"Nah... no biggie, sis." The little brunette held the paper high to hide her face as she winked at Faith.

"Okay, good. Now that that's out of the way. What do you guys say to all of us taking a vacation together. Hmmm? Anyone want to go to Disneyland?" Buffy smiled at the teenagers as they perked up.

"Yeah, okay. That sounds like fun." Dawn chimed in first then Faith added her two cents.

"And we can go to Magic Mountain!" She smiled brightly at the tiny blonde. "Alright B, this will be fab! We can have a total blast. We'll use some of that money from the Mayor." She grinned big as she thought about it. Faith turned to look at Willow. "I have plenty, right?"

"Faith, you have tens of millions." Willow laughed as she sat down to eat with the girls.

Buffy's face paled. "WHAT?!"

"I thought I told you that I had money now, B?" Faith stuffed a large forkful of pancakes in her mouth.

The little blonde sat down heavily. "Holy cow!"

"You're okay, aren't ya B?" The dark slayer looked nervous. *Uh-oh! Is she mad?*

"Yeah, I'm okay Faithy." She smiled at the brunette, and reached up to ruffle her hair.

"Hey! Watch it, will ya!" Faith scowled while Dawn laughed.

The dark slayer taunted her back. "Don't you have school, Squirt?"

"Creep, be quiet." Dawn pinched her.

"No Faith's right. Get going." Buffy swatted her sister on the bottom, and pushed her toward the door.

"Alright, alright. Bye Faith. Meet me after school and we'll get mochas." Dawn headed out.

"Wait a minute, missy." Buffy called after her. "You're still grounded until tomorrow."

Dawn stuck her tongue out at Buffy and waved to Faith.

"Later Peanut." Faith smirked at Buffy's irritation. She turned to Willow. "Are we going to get the books I need today, Red?"

"Yep, go get dressed."

Buffy frowned. "I took the day off. Where are you taking Faith?"

"Just to get her books for the test... per your order." Willow chuckled at Buffy's deflated expression.

"Well... ugh!" She shook her head and watched in frustration as the sexy brunette left the breakfast table. Buffy turned back to Willow. "I'll take her."

"Do you know what books she needs?" The red head asked innocently.

"Argh! No! Fine, you take her." She got up to leave, agitated.

Willow and Tara exchanged a puzzled glance.

............

"Faith sweetie, can I come in?" Buffy stood just inside the young slayer's bedroom. Faith was getting dressed.

"Uh... I guess so." The brunette blushed as she pulled on her shirt. Buffy sat down, watching her. Faith grabbed up a pair of jeans. "So what's up, B?"

"Nothing. I just wanted to apologize for upsetting you yesterday and to check and see how slaying went for you and Spike. He didn't try anything, did he?" The little blonde asked attempting to sound casual.

"No, he didn't try anything and if he did would you ground me for it?!" She snorted in annoyance.

Buffy's face darkened. "That's enough Faith! Come right home after you get your books."

The brunette saluted, causing Buffy to growl. She stormed out of the younger slayer's room, slamming the door. Faith hadn't even noticed the bracelet that Buffy was wearing.

Part 15 - Faith's Chores

"Buffy, we're home." Willow announced as soon as they walked in the door.

"Good." Buffy strolled out of the kitchen. "Did you get all the books Faith needs?"

"Yep. She's all set." Willow nodded to the little slayer as she turned to leave. "I'll see you guys for dinner. I have to meet Tara back at school."

"Thanks for taking her, Wil."

"No problem." She smiled and waved as she headed back out.

"Thanks Red." Faith watched Willow leave, wishing she could go with her. She'd had about all she could take of bossy Buffy. Slowly, she turned and looked at the little blonde who was watching her closely.

"Come on, Faithy. Help me finish the dishes then we're going outside to do some gardening. And tonight I'll take you slaying with me."

Faith grinned big. "Really!" She couldn't hide her excitement. Her favorite thing to do with Buffy was slaying... well, her second favorite thing.

"Yes, really. Now take your books to your room and then get your little butt in kitchen." Buffy snapped her with the dishtowel.

"Hey!" Faith grabbed the little blonde and wrestled her to the floor, tickling her. "You oughta be careful... snapping me with a towel! I'll show you." They both rolled on the floor, giggling.

Buffy gasped for air as Faith hovered above her. "I give up. I'm sorry." The tiny slayer was still giggling as the brunette froze and stared at her, then slowly she leaned in and kissed Buffy. It was a soft and gentle kiss that she gradually deepened until they were both trembling.

"Oh god!" The little slayer moaned as Faith pulled back.

"B?! I'm sorry! I shouldn't a done that! I'm so sorry!"

"Shhhh! Faith, it's okay." Buffy pulled the younger slayer into her arms and held her. "It's okay, sweetie. I'm not mad. Shhhh..."

"You're not?" Faith lay nervously in Buffy's arms, closing her eyes as she felt the little slayer stroking her hair. She smiled and relaxed. "Can we go downstairs?"

Buffy laughed. "Yes, you can. Take your books down there, and come back up to help me with the dishes. Okay?" She kissed the top of Faith's head and got up.

"That's not what I meant." Faith grumbled under her breath as she headed to her room with her books.

Buffy only arched an eyebrow at Faith's complaints, and went back into the kitchen. *This may be harder than I thought.* The tiny slayer stood at the sink waiting.

Faith returned, grinning mischievously. Buffy furrowed her brow. "I'm not so sure that I like your little smirk Faith. It makes me think that you're up to something. You're not, are you? Because you're going to be a good girl or no Magic Mountain!" The older slayer handed her a dishtowel. "I'll wash. You dry."

"Don't you have a dishwasher?" Faith frowned as she took the towel.

"Faith!" Buffy was losing her patience. "Stop complaining. You're going to do chores. It's good for you. It builds character." She nodded as she said this.

"I've got character! Plenty of it, thank you."

Buffy had to smile at that. "Yes, you do."

"Buffy?"

"What?" The little blonde smiled encouragingly. She could tell that Faith had something important to ask.

"Can we kiss again sometime?" Faith looked away, blushing as she asked.

"We'll see, Faithy. We'll see." Buffy reached over and turned the radio up.

Part 16 - Big Exits

"Omigod! So you kissed her?!" Dawn squealed and ran over to plop on the couch next to Faith. "Tell me everything!"

"Well, there isn't much to tell. We kissed, she hugged me for a minute, and then we did the dishes." Faith stuffed several mini donuts into her mouth and held the box out for Dawn.

"So did you like it?" Dawn bounced excitedly.

Faith nodded and rolled her eyes.

"Oh yeah. Duh!" The little brunette giggled and popped a mini donut into her mouth too. They didn't hear the knock.

"Hey, what are you two doing?" Buffy slowly made her way down the stairs smiling.

Faith choked on her donut.

Dawn burst out laughing as she patted the brunette on the back. "Geez! Sneak around much?!"

"What?! She's got slayer senses. Maybe, it's time she starts using them." Buffy snorted as she took the donut box from them. "Spoiling your dinner I see." She shook her head, but opened the box and took a few. "Mmm... yummy donuty-goodness, thank you Faithy. So how do you guys feel about going this weekend? Dawn, you can take Monday and Tuesday off."

"Count me in then. I'll have Sharon get my assignments for me." Dawn tried to snatch the donut box back, but Buffy held it away.

"No. You two have had enough sugar." Buffy smirked as she ate another.

"Pig!" Dawn complained getting up to leave. "Come upstairs later Faith, and we can look at your creepy books for that test, if you want."

"Yeah sure, Squirt."

After Dawn left the room, Buffy turned to Faith. "So what were you two talking about?"

"Nothing, really." The brunette blushed crimson.

"Faith... lying... not your thing." Buffy grabbed her chin. "Look at me."

"Okay." Faith looked at her, nervously. "What?"

"This." Buffy leaned forward and kissed her.

"Hey Faith, do you... oops." Dawn froze on the stairs. Faith pulled away from the older slayer quickly.

"Uh... Squirt... um... what?"

"Suave, Faith. She saw." Buffy turned toward her sister. "So what's so important that you couldn't knock?"

Dawn arched an eyebrow. "You've got slayer senses. Maybe you should use them."

Faith tried to hide her laugh with a cough.

The little slayer's eyes narrowed. "Fine, you made your point. Now what do you want, Dawnie?"

"Nothing. I'll come back later, Faith." The teenager stomped up the stairs.

"B, I think you hurt her feelings."

"Too bad. She needs to learn to knock." The little slayer reached for Faith.

"What's wrong with you lately?!" The brunette stared at her strangely then got up to leave.

"Where are you going?" Buffy demanded, irritably.

"To see what Dawn needed." Faith left small slayer to stew.

...............

"So tell me again why you like my sister?" Dawn asked. Lately she found Buffy to be insufferable. Ever since Faith arrived she'd been especially obnoxious.

"Awww. C'mon Squirt. She didn't mean anything by it. B's just been stressed, ya know. She loves you more than anything." Faith sat down on Dawn's bed.

"Well hurry up and have sex with her so she'll stop being such a bitch." Dawn was looking for something in her closet. "Hey, did you notice she's wearing the bracelet you gave her?" She turned around to see that Faith's eyes widened with surprise. "Didn't think so. Faith, you're gonna have to be more observant if you're going after my sister."

Faith had a big, spacey grin on her face. Dawn looked at her and groaned. "Ugh! You do have it bad. I hope you realize what a full time pain she is. Now go. She's probably still sitting in your room waiting for you so she can make a big exit when you come back. She's the queen of big exits." Dawn shook her head and laughed as she thought about it.

"Thanks Dawnie, you're the best." Faith hugged her and ran out.

...................

Buffy sat in Faith's room waiting, getting more irritated by the second. She had come down here to be with Faith, and this is what Faith does! She runs off to check on Dawn!

"Hey B, I'm back." Faith came running down the stairs as Buffy stood up.

"I was just leaving." She announced walking past the stunned brunette.

All Faith could think was, damn... Dawn was right. The dark slayer scowled. "Whatever!"

"Well, what do you expect me to do?!" Buffy threw up her hands dramatically.

"I don't know B! Why don't you try being the adult you always claim you are... for five seconds at least!" Faith shouted back her.

"Don't raise your voice to me Faith! This conversation is over!" Buffy stormed up the stairs and slammed the door.

"FINE!" Faith took off her boot and threw it at the door. "ARGH! SPOILED LITTLE BUFFY SUMMERS!"

Part 17 - Admit It

Faith and Dawn were the last to make their way to the dinner table. They came into the room loudly laughing and horsing around.

"Settle down." Buffy groused at them, still furious over what happened earlier with Faith. The two witches exchanged an anxious expression. Obviously the little slayer was in some kind of foul mood.

No sooner were they seated at the table when there was a knock at the door. Willow got up to answer it while Tara turned to explain. "Oh yeah, I may have forgot to tell you that Xander and Anya are coming over." The blonde witch looked nervously at the little slayer.

"Great." Buffy groaned as the ex-demon sat down next to her.

"Hey there Buffster. And how's my favorite girl?" Xander asked as he leaned down to hug Dawn. He smiled at the other brunette. "Hi Faith."

"Hey." She didn't even look up. Faith was picking at her food and wishing she had a cigarette.

The next visitor was Spike. He sauntered in, smiling at Faith. "Hey Luscious ready to go patrolling?" He smirked as he noticed Buffy tense up.

"I'm taking her patrolling, Spike. But thanks for the offer." Buffy snapped.

"Ease up, slayer. Besides there's always room for another. I can wait." He seated himself between Dawn and Faith, enjoying Buffy's agitation.

Faith turned to him grinning. "William the bloody, how goes it? Kill anything tonight?"

"Not yet, but the evening is young." He teased.

Dawn giggled. Spike and Faith were fun together. She was excited he stopped by.... plus he's cute.

"Nibblet, didya miss me?" He put his arm around the back of Dawn's chair thoroughly reveling in the tiny slayer's apparent rage.

"Yep. Where have you been? I hope you haven't been staying away because of butthead Buffy." Dawn interjected causing several stifled giggles.

Buffy's face darkened. "Okay, that's enough! Spike, wait in the other room. They need to eat their dinner."

He got up laughing. "That's alright mommy slayer. I'm going outside for a cig anyway." He stood up to leave, and Faith stood too.

"Where do you think you're going?!" Buffy got up preparing to stop her.

"I was going outside to get some air. Geez! What's with you?!" The brunette glared back at the tiny slayer.

"No, you're not. Sit down and eat your dinner. You can get air later." Buffy ordered watching with relief as Faith sighed and sat back down. "Now we're going to have a pleasant dinner if it kills us. Pass the potatoes, please."

"It just may." Faith muttered causing Dawn to giggle.

Buffy growled, and all eyes were on her. Tara cleared her throat and tried to redirect the focus. "So have you two decided? Are you coming with us to Disneyland this weekend?"

"Nope. Can't get away from work and Anya doesn't want to close the shop either. But maybe next time, with more notice." Xander explained as he buttered a roll.

Buffy ducked her head down to hide her relief. The last thing she wanted was Anya constantly in her face, but Xander would be missed.

"Can Spike go with us?" Dawn chimed in.

"NO! Spike, cannot go with!" Buffy fumed, glancing at Dawn. *What a ridiculous question!*

"Easy there B. No reason to bite her head off. Dang."

Dawn smiled at Faith. *Faith is so cool!... always sticking up for me.*

"You know what, you're right! Sure, Spike can go. We'll just stick him in the trunk on the drive there!" Buffy glared at the two brunettes.

"Buffy, please." Willow shifted uncomfortably in seat. Her best friend was being more than a tad difficult.

Buffy got up and abruptly left the table. Everybody turned to look at Faith. "What?!"

.......................

Faith stood fidgeting outside of Buffy's door, trying to work up to knocking.

"Faith, just come in. I know you're out there." The little slayer could feel the yummy tingles all the way to her toes. She tried to block it out as the brunette walked in.

"Did you still want to go slaying?" Faith picked an imaginary piece of lint off of herself as she avoided eye contact with the blonde.

"If you want, you can just go with Spike." Buffy offered, studying the brunette closely to see if this suggestion pleased her.

"No. Of course, I want you to come with. B, don't you get it? I came back because of you. Because I had to see you... an' be around you again. I missed you so bad that..." Faith stopped and looked up, suddenly embarrassed at her own confession.

"Faith, what are you trying to tell me?" Buffy's lips twitched as she tried to hold back her smile.

"Damn, are you going to make me say it?!" The dark slayer kicked at the carpet then finally peered over at Buffy. "Fine. I'll admit it. I love you. Geez! Happy now?!"

Part 18 - Bit and Sick

"Yes." Buffy spoke softly as she walked over to Faith and pulled her into a kiss. She moved back slowly and smiled as she whispered. "I love you too."

"Okay then, now you can stop acting like an ass." Faith grinned teasingly.

"Acting like an ass?! What the hell are you talking about?!" Buffy raged, shoving Faith hard. "Don't you dare talk to me like that! I may love you, but you're still going to treat me with absolute respect. Do you understand?!"

"Yes B. Calm down. I was just joking, ya know. C'mon, you love me... remember?" Faith looked nervously at the irate blonde. She moved close and tried to hug her.

"Not now Faith. We have to go slaying. Spike's waiting and I feel the need to stake something!" Buffy grabbed her hand and tugged Faith along behind her.

........................

"Faith, get down!" Buffy shouted but the brunette tried to pull herself free from the demon instead. The little slayer watched in horror as the demon's spiny scales pierced the younger girl's side. "Dammit!" Buffy sliced the head off of another who charged her and rushed over to Faith. "Spike, help me over here!"

The demon had lifted the young slayer and bit down hard. Faith screamed in pain as the demon's teeth sank into her shoulder. The bleach blonde vampire yanked the demon backwards and the tiny slayer swung the ax. Swish! The head rolled past Faith. It was the last thing the brunette saw before she lost consciousness.

.......................

"Wil, it's all my fault! I shouldn't have taken her with me!" Buffy pulled Faith tearfully into her lap.

"Buffy, you couldn't have known it would bite her. Don't worry. You just have to give it time. The poison isn't strong enough to kill a slayer; it just has to work its way through her system." Willow carefully rechecked her books. "This is the demon that bit her, right? You're certain?"

Spike glanced at the book. "Yeah, that's the bastard."

"Let's put her to bed so she'll be more comfortable." Willow gestured for Spike to lift her.

Buffy complained bitterly as he picked up. "I can carry her!"

"And so can I. Now where do you want her?" He looked at Willow and Tara.

"I think her room would be easiest." Tara followed him down to the basement while Buffy sat still crying.

"Wil, how am going to tell Dawn?!" She peered over at the witch horrified.

"Buffy, she's going to be okay. I promise." Willow pulled the little slayer in her arms just as Dawn came down from her bedroom.

"Hey you guys, what's going on? Where's Faith?" The little brunette rubbed her eyes, yawning. She turned toward the basement to go ask Faith what was up. Obviously Buffy still seemed to be in a mood.

"Wait!" Buffy called out to her sister, panicked.

"Dawn, right now might not be good. Faith, got hurt." Dawn's face paled as Willow continued. "It's okay, Dawnie. She's going to be fine." The younger Summers ran past the red head and toward the basement.

"Dawn, no!" Buffy jumped up but not in time to stop her. They got down there as Spike was helping Tara remove Faith's jacket.

"Good thing Luscious was wearing leather or he might `ve bit her shoulder clean off." Spike observed. He glanced up to see Dawn coming toward them. "Uh... no, I didn't mean that nibblet. She's alright. See." He tried to sit Faith up a little and whispered to her.

Faith's eyes opened and she gave Dawn weak smile. "Hey Squirt, don't you have school tomorrow? Why are you awake?"

"Stop being stupid. What happened?!" Dawn shouted looking back over at her sister accusingly. "How could you let her get hurt, Buffy?!"

That was too much for the little slayer. She sank to the floor crying. Spike became angry. "Everyone settle down. It isn't anybody's fault. We had a tough slay. It happens!" He walked over to Buffy and gently pulled her up, sitting her down next to Faith. "Now Faith's going to be fine. Aren't you, gorgeous?"

Faith chuckled, then held back her groan as she forced a smile. "Yep. As good as new. I just need some sleep, yunno?" Her eyes slid closed again.

"I think that would be best. C'mon Dawn let her get some rest." Willow guided the teenager from the room, glancing back at Tara and nodding. The blonde witch understood the message and remained behind to help with the injured slayer.

"Spike, can you go upstairs and get first aid kit from the kitchen?" Tara asked as she examined the wounds on Faith's side.

"O' course." He headed up the stairs.

"Dawn's right. How could I let anything hurt, Faith? She's my responsibility. Tara, I love her. I can't believe that she's... oh my god, look at all the blood!"

"Buffy! Buffy, stop it. Listen to me. It's not your fault. And Faith's going to be okay. But you have to be calm, okay?" Tara shook the little blonde gently.

"Yeah, pull it together Slayer!" Spike returned with the first aide kit and handed it to Tara who was struggling to remove Faith's shirt. "I'll help you with that."

Buffy finally perked up. "No, it's okay Spike. We can take it from here."

The bleach blonde vamp nodded and made his way out. "I'll come to check on her tomorrow. If it's okay with you, slayer?"

"Yeah, sure. Thanks." Buffy waited until he exited then reached over and ripped Faith's shirt removing it easily. "Here." She turned the whimpering brunette as carefully as she could.

Tara began pulling the sharp spines that had embedded themselves in Faith's side. She noticed Buffy's eyes watering again as she cringed with each groan from the young slayer. "Um... Buffy, maybe you could get Faith something to drink. Hmm?" Tara looked up at the pale little blonde.

"Oh. Yeah, definitely. I'll go get Faithy a drink." Buffy hurried out of the room as Willow made her way down.

Tara was relieved that her girlfriend returned. "Good. You can help me with this. Buffy's not so slayerish right now. I could use a hand."

Willow grabbed up the bandages.

Part 19 - Wake the Dead

When Buffy finally made her way back to the basement. The two witches had just finished wrapping Faith's wounds. Tara smiled up at the nervous slayer. "She's okay Buffy. She has a fever but that's from the poison. We'll take her temperature again in the morning. The worst of it will be tonight. Do you want us to stay up and help you with her?"

"No, it's okay. I can take care of her. You guys go to bed if anything comes up I'll come and get you." Buffy settled down on the bed next Faith, and pulled the brunette into her arms. "I'm so sorry, Faithy." She kissed her then gently lifted her into a sitting position. "Are you thirsty, honey?"

"Uh-huh." Faith sipped at the drink Buffy was holding for her. "Thanks B. It's really hot in here or something."

"No, it's not. You're running a fever." Buffy placed her hand on Faith's forehead. "Oh baby, you're burning up. C'mon sweetie, I'm going to give you a bath."

"Nah... I'm so tired B. I jus' wanna sleep, `kay?" Faith leaned back in her arms.

Buffy quickly picked the protesting slayer up and carried her to the bathroom. She turned on the water before setting Faith down to undress her. "C'mon Faithy, lift your little behind... good girl." Buffy pulled down the leather pants. "Oops... hold on baby. I have to get your boots."

The little blonde turned around to remove Faith's boots then stripped off her pants. The dark slayer groaned. "Shhh... it's okay, sweetie." Buffy placed her in the tub delicately, trying to keep from staring at the younger slayer's lovely curves.

"B, nooo. I want to sleep." Faith cried and shivered. "It's cold... the water's cold."

"No honey, it isn't. It's warm water. You just have a fever. Shhh... I'm going to take care of you. I love you, sweetie... remember?" Buffy leaned close to her. Faith gave a naughty smile and grabbed her.

"Prove it. Kiss me." Faith opened her eyes and focused on Buffy.

"Okay." The little blonde pressed her lips lightly against Faith's. The brunette pulled her into the tub, grimacing a bit as Buffy slipped and fell. There was a big splash of water.

"Faith! Doggone it!" Buffy cursed as she stood up to. She was fully dressed and now fully soaked.

Faith laughed. "I owed ya one, B."

The older slayer only shook her head as she stepped out of the tub.

"Aww... come on B. Take a bath with me. What fun is it alone?!" The brunette winked at her.

"Fine." Buffy blushed a bit as Faith watched her strip. She gingerly climbed back into the tub.

Faith quickly caught her and began tickling the little blonde. "Now I'm gonna wash you."

"Hey!" The tiny slayer tried to fight her off as she giggled uncontrollably. "Where'd you suddenly get all this energy?"

"B, you're in the tub naked with me! I'm sick, not dead!" Faith laughed and pulled the smaller girl to her. She closed her eyes and moaned as Buffy's nude little body slid over hers. "Mmmm... B, you're supposed to be cooling me off... but I don't think it's working." She chuckled at Buffy's disoriented expression.

"I... uh... um." Buffy tried again. "Faith, we have to... this isn't..."

"Shhh... B, lemme take care of it." Faith slipped her hand between the little slayer's legs causing Buffy to groan with pleasure.

"Omigod Faith, no. We shouldn't."

"Yes. We should. I didn't get enough last time. Did you?" The dark slayer looked directly into Buffy's eyes.

"No." She swallowed.

"I knew it. Now remember this?" Faith stood up ignoring Buffy's protests as she lifted the little slayer out and placed her on the floor. She laid her body on top of the older girl's and grinned down at her.

"Ugh... Faith, you're impossible. Do know that?!"

"Uh-huh. But so are you. I guess we make a pretty good couple." Faith leaned in an began kissing the smaller girl.

Buffy could feel Faith's breast pressed against her own. Her nipples hardened and her eyes slid shut. She was getting very wet. "Faith... oh please..."

The brunette smirked as she licked her way down Buffy's body. "Mmmmm... yummy little B." She settled between the little slayer legs, kissing her. "Can I have a taste?" She looked up at Buffy who nodded mutely.

Faith bent her head and licked Buffy's slit.

"Oh god!" The tiny blonde screamed as she tangled her hands in Faith's hair. "Oh Faith... mmmmm.."

"Not so loud, B." Faith lifted her head. Buffy eyes were squeezed shut, and she had the most beautiful smile on her face. *Damn, she's perfect!* The brunette went back to Buffy's sweet little pussy, licking her lovingly.

The tiny slayer moaned and moved against Faith's full lips enjoying the silky softness against her. She arched her back as the younger girl sucked on her clitoris. "Faithy... that's it... right there... ahhhhhh!"

Faith held tightly to Buffy as the tiny slayer came all over her face. She smiled and gently licked Buffy dry enjoying every last drop. The little blonde just lay there, quivering each time Faith's tongue touched her.

"Hey, can you guys be quiet in there?! Some of us have school in the morning." Dawn could be heard laughing and so could Tara and Willow.

"Oh shit!" Faith looked down at the now crimson little Buffy. She laughed and shouted back. "It's not me making the noise."

"FAITH!" Buffy was mortified. She scooted her way out from under Faith. "Come on, let's go back downstairs."

"Sounds good to me, B." Faith gave Buffy one of her best smiles, dimples and all. "I love you, Buffy Summers... even though you could wake the dead."

"Argh! Faith! Downstairs! Now!"

Part 20 - Marry Me

Buffy woke up first. She rolled over and immediately felt Faith's forehead. The little slayer was relieved to notice that Faith's fever had gone down, but she still felt a tad warm.

The little blonde climbed out of bed and pulled on a pair of the younger slayer's jeans and a t-shirt. When Buffy made her way upstairs she found two amused witches at the breakfast table and an irritable little sister. She blushed at their smirks.

"Good morning."

"Uh-huh." Tara gave her a wink. "How is Faith? Has the fever broke?"

"I think so. I came up to get the thermometer." Buffy smiled as Willow handed her some orange juice and the thermometer. "Thanks."

The red head cleared her throat before asking, "So... um... you and Faith are... together?"

"You guys heard?" The little blonde made a face.

Dawn spoke up first. "Only the whole thing. Oh yes..Faithy... ah.. ooh baby... right there... yeah." The teenager mimicked her sister and rolled her eyes. "I can't believe Faith is so into you. You're kinda creepy, Buffy."

The little slayer turned a brighter shade than Willow's hair color as the witches laughed.

"Hey, what's going on?" A slightly tousled looking Faith stood in the doorway with a sleepy grin. "Squirt, be nice to B." She gave a Dawn a pleading look.

"Ugh! Fine. But don't you get all creepy too just `cause you're dating my sister."

She smiled at Dawn. "I won't."

"Hey!" Buffy glanced at both them, certain that somewhere in that exchange there was an insult.

"Are we still going to Disneyland?" Dawn turned to her sister.

"No. I want to wait. Faith still has a fever."

Dawn just nodded that she understood, but Faith's face changed. "Wait a minute! I want to go. I'm fine B. Come on."

"Nope. Not this weekend, Faith. And I'm not going to discuss this. Now get back in bed. You still have a fever." She popped the thermometer into the brunette's mouth. All Faith could do was scowl.

"Well, I'm off to school. Have fun, Faith. You're stuck with Buffy now. Be careful what you wish for, right?" Dawn laughed as she ran out the door.

"HEY!" Once again Buffy objected, but her sister was already gone. She turned toward Faith. "You don't feel that way, do you?.. Wait! Don't answer that. Leave the thermometer in your mouth."

Faith rolled her eyes and shook her head. She sat down at the table with the two highly amused witches. Willow let Faith grab the pen from her hands. She also gestured for a piece of the red head's notebook paper.

Faith then began writing Buffy a note. She slid it past the smiling witches and to the little blonde who waited with surprise. Buffy cried as she read the note.

B, here's how I feel. - Will you marry me?

"Yes." She kissed Faith on the cheek as the brunette tried to mumble. "Shhh... You have to know that you can't get rid of me now, Faithy. I would stalk you if I had to." Buffy chuckled. "Just you like you did to me."

It was Faith's turn to blush. "It's okay, baby. We were meant to be together. I can't stay away from you any better." The little slayer pulled the brunette into a hug. "I love this bracelet by the way. I just can't wait to see the ring you get me."

Willow and Tara laughed at Faith's groan.
