Eliza was born in Boston, Massachusetts and has three older brothers, Aaron, Ben and Nate. Eliz is part Albanian and part Danish and was raised in a strict Mormon household. In 1992, at the age of just 12, Eliza was picked out of many girls for a role in a film That Night, after this she appeared in in several other films, most notably starring alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in True Lies. Eliza then took a few years away from acting in order to complete her schooling, however, shortly after graduating she landed the role of Faith in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and went on to guest star in the spin off series Angel as well as continuing to appear in films. When Buffy finished in 2003, Eliza was offered the chance to star as Faith in a spin-off series, but chose instead to a starring role as a different character in her own series,Tru Calling.
