Connor
Born to two vampires, Angel and Darla, Connor was an impossibility from his conception.  Despite his mother's pre-birth attempts he was indestructable and, from the womb, gave his mother a soul and helped her to achieve some kind of redemption when she stakes herself in order to give her son life.

Life was difficult for Connor from the start, being the child of two vampires, he started life hunted by almost everyone, from worshiping vampire cults to Wolfram & Hart who wanted to cut him open to see how he existed.

Just when his father thought that he had saved him from everything he could, Wesley discovered a prophecy that stated that Angel would kill his son and kidnapped him.  Wesley two had been tricked, although just how much he was not to know.  Having taken Connor he found himself pursued by Justine, a member of Angel's enemy Holtz's crew, slitting Wesley's throat she steals Connor and hands him over to Holtz who renames him Stephen.  Despite Angel's and Wolfram & Hart's best efforts Holtz manages to escape with Connor/Stephen to a demon dimension Quortoth.

The portal to Quortoth can only be opened once and Connor is stranded there to be raised by Holtz.

While time is flying by in Quortoth, in LA Angel discovers that the prophecy was re-written by a demon named Sahjahn.  The original prophecy had stated that Connor would kill Sahjahn, Sahjahn having the luxory of time travel had gone back and re-written the prophecy and brought back Holz in order to prevent his own death.

Unable to kill Sahjahn, Angel banishes him back into a jar.

In Quoprtoth Connor is raised by Holtz, who comes to love him as son.  Holtz teaches Connor to despise vampires and in particular his real father.  He also teaches him to hunt and kill, and with his superhuman strength inherited from Angel and Darla he becomes known as the destroyer.

Finally, at the age of 17 Connor finds a way back to earth, where only a few months have passed, Holtz follows.  Although Connor wants to hate his real father, they find that they have a lot in common and are starting to get along when Holtz gets his final revenge.  Asking Justine to kill him, using an ice pick to the throat he allows Connor to believe that Angel has killed him.

Connor extracts revenge in a manner that would have made Angelus proud.  Overpowering Angel, he and Justine seal him in a metal box and dump him in the ocean, doomed to live there forever.

With his both his fathers gone, Connor moves in with Fred and Gunn and pretends to aid in the search for Angel when in fact he is ensuring his tracks are covered.

When Angel returns and his friends discover what really happened Connor is kicked out of the hotel, he lives on the streets for a while (not knowing he is still under his father's watchful eye) then finds an abandoned warehouse to call his home.

When Cordelia returms with no memory of her former self, Connor is the one that do9es not hide the truth from her and, even when she regains her memory she continues to live with him.

An apocolypse approaching he and Cordelia spend what they believe to be their last night together and the result is a very fast conceieved pregnancy.

Connor helps Cordelia to conceal this from the others and when she does annouce it and they discover she is evil, he stands by her, even killing a young girl to help the birth, despite a visitation from his dead mother pleading with him not to do it.

When Cordelia gives birth to the Higher Being and goddess, Jasmine, Connor is the only one who can see her for what she really is but still he worships her, believing that she can bring some form of happiness to his life.

At the end even Connor realises that Jasmine should not be on this earth and he is the one to finally end her reign.

Everything he valued taken from him, Holtz, Cordelia (who remains in a coma) and Jasmine, Connor finally cracks.  Holding hostages in a sports he threatens to blow them all to pieces, including himself and Cordelia.

With a little help from Wolfram & Hart, Angel manages to prevent this from happening and, proving that he loves his son, gives Connor what he has always wanted.  Altering reality he gives Connor the family life he never had.  Only Sngel will know who Connor really is.

Connor lives his happy family life, going to college, until one day he is hit by a truck and slammed into a garage door.  The blow, which should have killed him, leaves him unharmed and his parents turn to Wolfram & Hart, which Angel now runs, for help.

Angel learns that this situation has been created by a warlock names Cyvus Vail who was employed by Wolfram & Hart to alter Connor's reality.  Vail wants Sahjahn dead and knows Connor is the only one who can kill him, so he sent Connor a little wake up call so that he would learmn his strength.

Angel explains as much as he can to his son, who takes everything Angel tells him rather well.  he agrees to fight Sahjahn, however, not really being a fighter in this reality, the fight does not go well.

Meanwhile, during the course of his investigatioons, Wesley has learnt that reality has been changed and who by.  Arriving at Vail's, where the fight is taking placxe, he destroys a charm that holds the old reality.  His old life coming back to him Connor easily destroys Sahjahn and fulfills the prophecy.

Connor decides not to tell Angel that he is aware of all that he did for him and returns to his happy family life.

When Angel pays him a visit, however, he realises that an apocolypse must be nigh and, turning up at Wolfram & Hart, he fights side by side with his father to destroy the liaison to the Senior Partners.  But Angel sends him away once more, telling him that he should get on with his life and providing Connor survives, so will Angel.  Connor reluctantly takes his advice and returns to his family once more.
