My cousin Renee and I took a road trip to Ypsilanti, Michigan to attend the MotorCityBuffyCon. Now we have been planning this trip for quite some time. We arrived on Thursday night to attend the James Marsters concert and had a blast. His CD and autographed figures were avaliable to buy in the room. It was a very intimate atmosphere. James played many songs from his new album and talked with his fans from the stage. Unfortunatly, James was unavailable to sign autographs or pose for photos. The concert was still a great time.
On Saturday, we arrived at the convention at 9:00 and waited in line for my photo op with Anthony Stewart Head. I was so excited! I entered the room and saw that he was greeting everyone. He took the time to hug and talk to his fans. He is probably one of the most gracious celebrities I have ever met. We posed for my photo and my cousin and I went off to wait for the Q&A to begin. While we were waiting Andy Hallet was waiting in the lobby talking to a manager, he greeted my cousin and I, told us it was nice to see us and thanked us for coming. In the dealer's room everyone was buying pictures of Amber Benson. Having already met her, I was not that excited, but after I found out that she was there I was thrilled! I ran into Amber and Danny Strong in the lobby and asked for a picture, they told me they were running late... So I went into the autograph room and waited in Amber's line. After we were instructed not to ask for photos, I asked Amber anyway. She agreed and we took our picture. We chatted for a bit adn she said that she remembered me from Chicago the year before. In Chicago she signed my "Once More, With Feeling" poster, "To: William, 'I'm under your spell :)' Love AB.
The time then came for me to have Anthony Stewart Head sign my poster. He did, "To William, 'I've got a theory' xxx Anthony Stewart Head. I also got autographs from Andy Hallet, and the Trio. I even got a picture with Adam Busch in the lobby. I did also get an autograph and picture with Kali Rocha. She was AWESOME, she asked who to make it out to and when I replied William, she said that was a bit ironic. Everyone was really nice and I cannot wait for the next con in Michigan!
