Special Mention Awards Not only has she started a community for betas for some of the
people I've seen here in your award site, but she came up with the idea for
darker spike and mods that. She's kind and unfailingly generous and also one of
The Best Writers out there, but because her stories are popular and her
community is a hit, she's endured a lot of crap because she was new and I think
a lot of people were pissed off that she dared do the things she has. Her story
Kept got her flamed as a new writer for doing something so beautiful and
different, and I know it hurt her a lot to be attacked, but she kept going and
soon I hope to see her finish her epic at last. For many writers who have been
flamed, she has been a symbol that you can keep going and that as long as you
believe in yourself and your story, you are okay. Stacey (bloodshedbaby) has tried and succeeded in building one of the most fantastic Spuffy archives on the web. She encourages new authors and is supportive of more experienced ones, and her life is built around her love of all things Spuffy. She is a prolific author in her own right, having won many awards for her stories such as "Dreams and DeSotos" and "Lonely In Your Nightmare", and I believe that she deserves special recognition for all that she does to keep the BtVS fandom alive. Kitty has been a beta for many years. She has dedicated most of her time to reading and editing fanfic and is widely known and respected especially in Slashy circles. She currently has four 'babies' that she works with, including myself, but has taken on many more in the past and will again in the future. She deserves a big thank you for this. I for one would be lost without her. Without her help and advice and talent, my work wouldn't be half of what it is. She's part of a team and deserves to be recognised for that. |
