5x5:
pronounced 'five by five', a Faithism meaning that one is in a physical
condition or a situation which is favourable: e.g. 'I'm fine. 5x5.'
Bad:(adjective
used as a noun) something which is not considered to be good. For example,
'That's a bad. A big bad.'
Bent:something
which is very perverse.
Bail:
to
escape from some commitment or social activity, e.g. 'Don't bail on me
now' or 'Sorry, guys, but I've gotta bail.'
Bogart:to
hog or otherwise monopolize and item for one's own personal consumpution:
e.g. 'Your mom trying to bogart the chips, Buff?'
Chill:
to relax, to calm down, usually used as a command: e.g. 'Hey, just chill,
will you?'
Doof,
doofus: an individual lacking of basic mental and/or physical
co-ordination. e.g. 'Riley is such a big doof.'
Duh!:exclamation,
meaning, 'You fool! You have missed an extremely obvious point', or, 'I
believe you have stated something which is already
obvious.'
Ew:general
exclamation of revulsion/distaste, e.g. 'Ew! That is totally gross!'
Funky:
an all-purpose vague adjective with multipliable meanings, such as; 1.
something unusual or scary, e.g. 'Check out the funky mansion.' 2.
a feeling of illness, e.g. 'I still feel kinda funky.'
Gonzo:to
become crazed or to behave in a bizarre or unseemly fashion, usu. not violently:
e.g. 'She totally gonzoed!'
Go
postal: to become suddenly violent without prior warning,
e.g. 'Don't go postal on me!' From the tendency of US postal workers to
become psychotic without warning.
Hell-o:
interrogative exclamation used either to draw attention to oneself, or
to imply that another person is lacking in basic common-sense, e.g. 'Hell-o?
Still talking here, lips still movin'!' or 'Hell-o? Which cave were you
living in for the last decade?'
Ho:
literally, a whore or prostitute, but used to refer to any individual (usu.
female) who is perhaps seen to be dislikeable, e.g. 'I'll call Xander.
What's his number again? Oh, yeah. 1-800-I'm-Dating-a-Big-Skanky-Ho.'
Jones,
Jonesing: to crave for something, usu. an item or a person.
Mojo:
magic,
the black arts, usually with dark connotation, e.g. 'I gonna whip up some
dark mojo!'
Much:suppended
after words or phrases to indicate something has been undertaken to an
unnecessary level, with the meaning, 'too much', 'Ew!
Vile much!',
or as a question, e.g. 'Jeez! Identify much?'
Neg:
SoCal slang for 'negative', used as an alternative to 'No'.
Ooginess:
a
feeling of illness.
Oogy:
illness
or unpleasantness, see 'Ooginess', e.g. 'I still feel kinda oogy.'
Pillock:mild
British slang, literally a penis but more commonly used to refer to someone
who is stupid and/or irresponsible
Pos:
SoCal slang for 'positive', used as an alternative to 'Yes'.
P.T.B.:
Cordeliaism, the 'Powers That Be'. e.g. 'Hell-o? PTB, Powers That Be. Obviously.'
Rag:to
complain or to scold, e.g. 'Stop ragging on me already!'
'Riding
stick': Faithism, meaning having relations with a man. e.g.
'I see Willow's not riding stick anymore.' (From 'stick-shift', a shaft-like
stick used to change gears in an automobile)
Schlub,
(schlob?): an individual who's own misfortune is usually
brought about by their own stupidity, 'Look at that poor schlub.'
Scully:to
attempt to either rationalize or explain away a paranormal occurrence by
resorting to incomprehensible jargon. e.g. 'Don't try
to Scully me!'
Skanky:something,
usually an individual, which is considered low or unfavourable, with connotations
of criminal behaviour
Slacker:US
slang, someone who fails to make a valid contribution to society by inherent
laziness. e.g. Xander
Slagged:
not looking ones best, or otherwise unattractive, e.g. 'You look kinda
slagged.'
SoCal:Southern
California.
Spiffy:having
a pleasant appearance or manner, often used ironically
Teutonic
man, the: a gentleman of large muscular build, blonde hair
and diminutive intelligence; in other words, Riley.
Thing:something
which one is inexcusably compelled to do, in order for two characters to
either talk together alone, or to have sex. e.g.,' I have... a thing. That
thing. Which I have to go to. Now. Bye.'
Totally:
very,
or extremely. e.g., 'That is so totally not a good idea.'
Vibe:usu.
'vibing'; to get along well, and to be on the same wavelength with another
person, e.g. 'I see they're really vibing.'
Wackiness:
the which is not of the norm, a deviation from normal occurrences, usually
meant unfavourably. e.g. 'And all manner of wackiness will ensue.'
Wacky,
the: confusion resulting from an altered state, such as love,
madness, e.g. 'Love makes you do the wacky.'
Wig,
the: something which incites in one to fear, e.g., 'Those
things really give me the wig.'
Wanker:offens.
British slang, literally meaning 'a masturbator', but used to refer to
anyone who is considered very dislikeable
Wiggins,
the:see 'Wig, the'
Yak:
to vomit, usual suddenly and unpleasantly, e.g. 'You're not gonna yak on
me, are you?'
