The Dimension

- Bottom to Top: The BUFFY Episode Countdown

We have a long way to go, let's hit it...

#133 - Bad Eggs
[episode 2.12]

What do you get when you mix a couple of texas yee-haw vampires, goopy spider-looking demons, and a big pink eye coming through the high school basement floor? Brilliance, I tell you! Or the opposite. As with every Buffy episode, there are good parts to this one, but the bad outweighs the good.

#132 - Wrecked
[episode 6.10]

It's crackwhore Willow! If you say you liked this episode, then you are just being kind to Marti Noxon. And that's just something we don't do around here. The "Magic as a metaphor for drugs" schtick wore out it's welcome extremely fast. This episode alone made me grow tired of it.

#131 - Never Kill A Boy On The First Date
[episode 1.5]

Not really the worst concept here. Joss simply wanted to state that with all the responsibility Buffy has, she will be affected socially by it. We see this time and again throughout the years, this first time however is just blah. We wonder why the hell she likes Owen all of a sudden, when did she even have time in the first 4 episodes to know he actually existed, and why the hell Cordelia wanted him as well. Hey, if I go to a corner and start reading Dickenson while wearing all black, you wanna bang me? Don't answer that.

#130 - Him
[episode 7.6]

R.J is just the coolest of the cool, ain't he? If cool means, not really, and not really means....I don't know where I'm going with this. Anyway, when R.J puts on his varsity jacket, all the girls fall in love with him. Funny concept and funny scenes make this not TOO terrible, but the bad parts come when we get Buffy ontop of the kid, and Dawn's line "You have sex that's rough", and I'm thinking "would any of this stuff ever been linked to Buffy had it been Espenson instead of Noxon who took over a year ago?" I don't think so. For some reason, at some point it was determined that Buffy's labido was 110% higher when she came back from the grave. I'm surprised Marti never got her in leather for an episode.

#129 - Where The Wild Things Are
[episode 4.18]

Ah! Another sex one! Don't think of me as prudish, because truly I'm not. It's just that she's having sweaty frat sex with Riley in this one; so you can see my problem here. Let's not forget the obligatory "gotta get the condom" shot, because we thought that our slayer would get AIDS and all. I was waiting for a "the more you know" PSA to pop up in that shot, but alas, it never happened.

Victoria Lane: "Him", in my opinion, was one of the most hilarious episodes EVER...I loved Anya's line of "What are you gonna do, turn him into a girl? damn". Made me laugh...also when they show Buffy outside PW's office with the bazooka, and elevator music is playing while Spike attacks her...perfect slapstick. 2 THUMBS UP

Lurker: Him was great! Splitscreens and funny arguments...

Atalanta: I liked 'Him'. Okay so it's basically copied from the - much better - BB&B in s2, but it's still enjoyable, and I just love the scenes with Xander & Spike; running past Wood's office tackling Buffy, grabbing RJ's coat.. good stuff, lol.

UnpluggedCrazy: I rather liked Him for being the funny, insanely unimportant filler episode that it was, and though Wrecked was not a very good episode, I thought that the whole magic equals drugs thing worked very well on the whole. Though I know I am one of...uh...one that thinks that way.

SpikeGirl: Yea! I loved Him...especialy when it was called Bewithched, Bothered and Bewildered on season 2!

(11.04.2005, 21:13)

Lurker: god i thought i was gonna die of laughter when anya said "his physical form, HAS A PENIS" and willow says "i cant work around it"...omg it was so funny. and when spike and buffy were wrestling for the rocket launcher. brilliant ideas!

fanofangel: Never kill a Boy...was pretty bad except for the interaction between Owen, Buffy, and Angel in the Bronze. The look on Angel's face was classic

Spike_And_Angel: I agree, they all did suck cept HIM! I loved when everyone went crazy for RJ.
(31.01.2005, 16:48)
