More Nails In TRU's Coffin: Jason Quits!
Jason Priestley does not believe either in the future of Tru Calling. That is why he has moved on and will not be available of Tru returns or is taken back in the programme. |
Since FOX announced that TRU CALLING, starring Eliza Dushku and Jason Priestly, wouldn't premiere it's second season on November 4 as first slated, the show's fate has been up in the air.
Fans have been campaigning to get the show back on the air on FOX or any other station willing to support the series. This is a sad day for them as it is announced that TRU CALLING'S nemesis and series regular Jason Priestley is becoming a recurring on another FOX show.
Priestly is joining the comedy QUINTUPLETS as an uncle to the five teens. He'll make his first appearance in the Thanksgiving episode. Six episodes of TRU CALLING's second season have been completed, including a Christmas episode. The season 1 DVD of the series will be released on November 30. No word yet on if fans will ever be able to see the six episodes or if more episodes will be produced.
