Results of the contest, The Good Fight, that gave fans the opportunity to win items donated by David Boreanaz and others.

 Dear Friends and Fans of the show Angel:
The Good Fight Contest kept us busy all summer, it
reached the far end of the world (yes, we did have
entrants from China, Australia, Finland,...), it gave
the opportunity to the actors to express their love to
the fans and appreciation for our dedication, it kept
us busy doing something creative and positive instead
of bottling our anger over the WB cancellation, it
allowed us to find and make verse friends!
The Good Fight Contest just reached its end, and what
a glorious one it is. We will never forget all those
involved, in particular Mr. David Boreanaz, who
personally donated a script from the episode "Your
Welcome" signed by cast members James Marsters, Amy
Acker, J. August Richards, Alexis Denisof and Andy
Hallet. It is a unique item that made us all dream and
reminded us of how much kindness and appreciation runs
deep in the cast for the fans of the show.
We have many, many others to thank for this ambitious
and exciting adventure. Let’s start by the judges: I
welcomed with awe, Whedonverse artist Erin Allen and
Mr. Robert Hall from Almost Human, Inc., for the the
Graphics portion of our contest and judges Nikki
Strafford, Rhonda Wilcox, Billie Doux, and Leah Wilson
joined by John Passarella, David Lavery, Robert Hall,
and Jarrod Crawford in the Written portion.
It is also such a pleasure to thank publicly those
that sponsored this fascinating venture. Please join
us in expressing, notably, our appreciation to Mr.
Boreanaz for the script and the signed photo, to Mr.
Hall for the multiple real props (i.e. seen on screen)
from Almost Human, Inc (plus we owe him so many of the
greatest monsters in both Buffy and Angel), to Rising
Stars Enterprises with J. August Richards and Jarrod
Crawford for the various autographed and licensed
items, to Mr. Passarella for the donation of a signed
copy of his latest Angel novel “Monolith” a truly
enjoyable work in the Angel novels series that have a
marvelous characterization of the protagonists, to
BenBella Books publisher of various whedonverse books
and other fascinating books investigating our
pop-culture society for the three great books (Seven
Seasons of Buffy, A Biography of Mr. Whedon, and a
rarity, the Galley of the not published yet Five
Seasons of Angel) they provided, to artist Erin Allen
for the amazing James’ Green signed photo of the
original artist painting, and to Anne Snair the fan
and artist that created the unique vintage suitcase
harboring on one side photos of almost every bad guy
on the show, while the opposite side showcase the
heroes of our verse, she is doing amazing things with
purses and design tattoos, don’t hesitate to contact
her for your unique and creative gift ideas.
These actors, artists, authors, publishers,
chroniclers, and scholars amazed the fans by giving us
of their time and expertise in the Angel world which
we all miss so much but now wish to celebrate and look
back on with joy and appreciation!

For our Essay portion of the contest four jurors
graded each essay on originality, insight, impact,
clarity and quality of writing. The median grade
determined the position each essay was holding in
their particular category. Between the top entries,
the selection for the script was made by the questions
written for Joss Whedon and/or David Greenwalt
provided by each entrant and ranked in value by three
jurors.
Now, without further ado, here are the essays that
won:

a way to really thank the jurors for the invaluable

crossed the line and courageously submitted an entry.
