You heard it right. Slayerverse has finally decided to participate in the Weblog Awards. Now it's up to you guys, as our fine users, to vote for us.
 Slayerverse has been around since november of 2002. It all began with one man, Slayer, who had a dream of a community where all information, clips and fan activity could come together. He gathered 8 people to help him make this dream come through, and they became his moderators and news posters.
When Slayerverse was first launched back in 2002 it was under the domain buffy-online.com, but after some work the owner of the domain buffy.de decided to redirect his domain to Slayerverse, as he was a fan of it. After that it was added to a corporation in april of 2003. Before the new domain the site wasn't as big as you know it today. There existed 3 big german buffy sites back then but as the time has gone by Slayerverse has grown and today has become the biggest fandom, bringing in 60% of the german fans.
In the beginning Slayerverse was only in german as the creator of it was german himself, but as the site grew a decision was made to make it available to the international users as well, as there didn't exist that many buffy sites of this kind back then. In 2003 Slayerverse was launched internationally, but just like the german launch it took some time before it started to bring in fans. It took around 6 months before the site began it's road to become as big as it is today. One reason the site took off is Faith - a teammember who joined Slayerverse 2 weeks after the international Slayerverse was launched. She managed to hunt down hot news and help put Slayerverse on the map. With addition of teammembers the international site began to grow and today we bring in a big part of the fandom - around 40%. We have also surpassed buffy.nu on  the international level.
Just a few months ago, the Spanish Slayerverse saw daylight, as one of our users asked to become a part of the team and develop it. It is still on the upcoming path as our team works hard on bringing news for our spanish users.
In november of 2002, same month Slayerverse saw daylight, the german board came to life. As it is harder to bring a community to life it took longer for the board to become big but today, before we had the hacker attack earlier this week which lead to complete deletion of the board, we have over 2800 registered users and it keeps growing every day.
When the spanish slayerverse became reality, the international board and the ability to register your username when posting comments in the news was launched as well. The international board has only been online a few months and it already have 630 registered users, and just like the german board it grows everyday.
As the site began to grow in all aspects - the german, the international and the spanish level - the team grew. Today, the team consists of over 50 members working hard to bring you, our users, the best buffyrelated news, clips and much more. from 2002 - present day we've had over 17 million users and are counted as one of the biggest Buffy/Angel site out there.
 UPDATE: The nomination period has ended and the finalists are being counted. If we make it to the finals, the voting will begin on sunday the 23rd this month. Click here to view their site
UPDATE: Due to bandwith exceeding we do not know who has been selected as finalists and when the final voting will begin, we'll let you guys know what happens!
