Tru in Perfect Storm
On friday Tru Calling Season 2 had it's premier in New Zealand. We've seen it and today we present a summarie of what happened. |
 In this episode Tru meets Jack again after 2 months of him missing in action. She works against the clock when a Harbor Patrole officer named Kate asks for Tru's help. She was killed in a "white squal" which is a storm that comes unexpected without any warning. Tru tries to stop Kate from going out but Jack comes in the middle tripping her over and over. In the end when Kate was supposed to die, Davis rescues her by impersonating an admiral in the Navy and lets the coastguard know that a boat is in trouble and this stops Kate from going into the storm. Even though Tru thinks she's stopped Kate's death, Jack is determend to have Kate die before the day is over. He began the day by pretending to drown and being rescued by Kate. He invites her to dinner to thank her from saving his life and later that night he gets help from Tru's father, who has decided to move back to town because of what Tru is and to stop her with Jack. He sends out a boat and send a distresscall to the Harbore Patrole which Kate answers and she goes out to help the "passengers". The storm has blown in on the city and it turns the water into turmoil and Kate gets knocked of her boat and falls in the water. What we learned earlier is that Kate didn't drown, she froze to death of hypothermia, and the water she's fallen into this night is freezing cold, especially since there's a storm as well. In the end Tru manages to get out with another boat and rescues Kate minutes before it's too late, and stops Jack from succeding.
 Harrison believes he's working for a legitament company, so when he's offered a job by his father, he turns it down. After being to lunch with his father he goes out to get his van and go back to work, when he finds his van has been stolen. When the day rewounds Tru tells Harrison that he should park his van elsewhere when going to lunch. because of this Harrison finds out later that day that the guys who owns the company actually steals their own vans and collects the insurance money, and since he didn't park the van in the same spot as he had done before the day rewound, they where stopped because he chose to park it in a security parkinglot. Harrison ends up taking the job his father has offered him. After he walks out his father walks over to Jack and they talk about the fact that Harrison took the job and that he doesn't know what he is, but that his love for his sister is strong, though his father argues that the bond between father and son is stronger.
Davis is supposed to get his yearly psych-evaluation, and when he comes into the office 2 hours late he finds out that this time it's a woman doing it and not his regular examinor. He ends up acting crazy and she, Dr. Carrie Allen, decides he needs another evaluation the next day. When the day rewounds she comes into his office 30 minutes after he should have been in her office, and she walks in right when Davis is inpersonating the admiral (mentioned above), she makes a quick decision and thinks that he doesn't need to come up and see her because she thinks she's seen enough. By the end of the episode when Davis is walking to the elevator she catches up with him and lets him know that she's read his profile and thinks that if he needs to blow of steam, inpersonating or whatever, then that's ok. They shake hands and get a proper introduction.
