Juliet Landau

Juliet Landau was born on March 30th, 1971 in Los Angeles, CA. She is the daughter of Martin Landau and Barbara Bain, both successful actors who are still very close with her today. Juliet's sister is producer Susan B. Landau. Her parents moved to London, England when she was a child. She studied both acting and classical ballet at the American school in London, before returning to the States at the age of 18.
Today, Juliet is often known for her role as the vampire Drusilla, on Warner Bros' popular TV series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (based on the 1992 film also written by Joss Whedon) and Angel (a Buffy spin-off). She originally had no intention of going into the family business, because she thought of acting as her parents' career while she was a professional ballerina. Her dancing experience has, however, become a valuable asset to her today, having given her an above-average level of discipline and patience.
Juliet made her film debut in The Grifters (1990) as a young Angelica Huston. Following a series of small parts in other movies, she eventually landed a role as Loretta King in Ed Wood, alongside her father (an Academy Award winning performance as Bela Lugosi). It was her role in Ed Wood that caught the attention of Buffy writer, Joss Whedon, which soon led to her recurring appearances as Drusilla, using an English accent for the character. Another notable TV guest appearance is her outstanding dual-role performance on the USA Network's La Femme Nikita in the 1999 episode entitled, "Before I Sleep", playing both the confident assassin, Jan Bailin, and a timid girl with Leukemia who looked identical to Bailin, Sara Gerrard.
One of her best episoded on Buffy was "What is my Line Part II".
