 | Slayerverse Oscars: Best Script And the Oscar goes to... |
Joss Whedon for Hush

WB Tag: SILENT NIGHT- A silence falls over Sunnydale when residents lose the power of speech and Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and her friends find themselves up against an enemy who must steal human hearts in order to survive. Meanwhile, Riley (Marc Blucas) gets his first clue to Buffy's slayer side when they have a fight with the outside visitor, and Willow (Alyson Hannigan) attends a wicca group that's not all she had hoped. Nicholas Brendon, James Marsters and Anthony Stewart Head also star. Joss Whedon wrote and directed the episode.
The three episodes and it's script writers nominated for this oscar was Joss Whedon for Hush, Mere Smith for Orpheus and Jane Espenson & Drew Goddard for Conversations With Dead People. Though Orpheus and Cwdp is two great episodes, Hush is a work of art. Both by Joss for writing this episode and coming up with the idea that it was't demons having fun, it was actually taken straight out of a fairy tale. Just the thought was great. With the addition on great score by Christophe Beck and the impressive performans by the cast, without speaking a word, makes this one of the most memorable episodes in Buffy history.
