Sarah has a new Movie
March 11: Sarah Michelle Gellar chiller starts shooting |
Focus Features has announced that its currently untitled Rogue Pictures supernatural feature, originally called REVOLVER and starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, began shooting this week in Austin, TX. As we’ve previously reported, the film is directed by award-winner Asif (THE WARRIOR) Kapadia from an Adam Sussman script, with Australian actor Peter O’Brien and Sam Shepard co-starring; new announcements in the ensemble are Kate Beahan (from the upcoming Jodie Foster thriller FLIGHT PLAN), J.C. (DARK ANGEL) MacKenzie and Adam (THE AVIATOR) Scott. More plot details have been released too: Gellar’s character is already troubled enough—estranged from her father (Shepard) and being stalked by her ex-boyfriend (Scott)—when she starts having visions of the vicious murder of a young woman she has never met. The nightmares lead her to travel to the dead woman’s home town, where she uncovers the truth behind the slaying—which may lead to her own death. "Being able to help put a visionary director like Asif Kapadia together with a true star like Sarah Michelle Gellar is what makes our job so gratifying," say Focus co-presidents David Linde and James Schamus.
