Chris Kane and 'Her Minor Thing'
After the world premiere of Chris Kane's new film "Her Minor Thing" at the Seattle Film Festival, the movie will have its official local premiere at the Sacramento Festival!

 'Her Minor Thing' to open Sac Film Festival:
"Her Minor Thing," a romantic comedy written by determined Sacramento filmmaker Jim Meyers, will have its official local premiere as the opening-night movie for the Sacramento Film & Music Festival in August.
The movie, filmed in the Sacramento area last summer with actors and crew members from the Southern California film industry, will show at the Crest Theatre at 1013 K St. at 7 p.m. Aug. 17, Meyers said Monday.
The 91-minute film had its world premiere this month at the Seattle International Film Festival, where it enjoyed two sold-out showings, Meyers wrote in an e-mail. A review by Vancouver, B.C., critic Ken Eisner posted at Variety.com, however, called the movie "a would-be sex comedy that lacks appeal."
"Her Minor Thing" is the story of a gorgeous 27-year-old female firefighter who works with scores of men, and the pandemonium that ensues after her boyfriend accidentally reveals on TV that she's a virgin. Directed by Charles Matthau, the movie's stars include Estella Warren, Michael Weatherly, Christian Kane and Rachel Dratch.
Meyers, who has a background in movie and television production, has been working on the film for years, tenaciously pursuing financing and industry pros willing to take a chance on the project.
