 | Signed Las Vegas Lorne for everyone.... ... ok, only for 200 people, which are willing to pay. |
Time and Space Toys:
Limited Lorne Green Signed Edition Vegas Lorne Figure
Okay, how many Lorne Greene jokes can I work into this description? (and how many readers will even know who Lorne Greene is?). The writers of Angel cleverly named the Host "Lorne" as a play on legendary actor, Lorne Greene. Short for "Krevlorneswath of the Deathwok Clan", Lorne admitted in episode "Belonging" that he did not go by that for a while because...he's green.***
Paying tribute to that lost joke is our attempt at an equally bad and probably also lost joke, (but a really cool looking color-scheme) , the "Limited LORNE GREEN Signed Edition Vegas Lorne" figure. No, it is not signed by Lorne Greene, but by Andy Hallett the actor who brought to life to the green Host on Angel. Yes, it is signed in GREEN paint, and not just any green, but a perfect color-match to the green paint used on Lorne's skin! Yes, it is also numbered in the same green...the figure is a limited edition of only 200 pieces! The figure come with an exclusive sticker identifying it as the "Limited LORNE GREEN Signed Edition".
The Vegas Lorne figure is a Time and Space Toys Exclusive figure and was produced as a 2005 Wizard World Chicago convention exclusive. Andy Hallett was our special guest at the August 4-7, 2005 Chicago convention and it was during that weekend that the figures were personally signed by Andy.
This figure will only be available in the Buffy Collector Club store, and not in the regular Time & Space Toys store!
***from 'Belonging'
"Krevlorneswath of the Deathwok Clan?"
Host: "It's clearly rabid. (To Angel) Do your thing, Angel."
Angel: "Krevlorneswath?"
Cordy: "Of the Deathwok Clan?"
Host: "Eh, ah, - I-I prefer Lorne."
Angel: "Lorne."
Host: "Yes. Lorne, if you must. Though I generally don't go by that because...green?"
Cordy: "Huh?"
Angel smiles: "Right. Lorne Greene. (Cordy and Wes turn to stare at him) Bonanza? (Cordy and Wes look at each other then back at Angel) Fifteen years on the air not mean anything to anyone here? (Drops his hands as the others still just stare) Okay. *Now* I feel old."
