REUNION: Cancelled!

Alexa Davalos stars in "Reunion" and Fox cancels the show after 13 episodes! The murder was supposed to be resolved after a complete season! Plus: Ethan Erickson has a new job!
'Reunion,' 'Threshold' pinkslipped
ABC, CBS, Fox cancel skeins, but UPN's 'Party' starts

By MICHAEL SCHNEIDER, JOSEF ADALIAN

ABC has put "Hot Properties" on ice, Fox is canceling the "Reunion" and CBS may have finally reached its "Threshold."
On a more positive tip, UPN announced Monday plans for the Allison Grodner-produced "Get This Party Started."

In a busy day of small-screen comings and goings, industry insiders confirmed that "Reunion," "Threshold" and "Hot Properties" will all cease production after 13 episodes.

News is particularly troubling for fans of the Warner Bros. TV-produced "Reunion," which has a serialized mystery designed to wrap at the end of the first season. It's unclear if producers will resolve the murder case at the heart of the show by the final seg; there's also no word on how long episodes will remain on Fox.

After a strong start, "Reunion" has faded in its 9 p.m. Thursday timeslot.

Eye is pulling Paramount Network TV-produced "Threshold" off its schedule for the time being, and production will wrap after its initial 13-episode order. Network said the fate of the sci-fi actioner had not been determined, but the decision to take the show off for the rest of November sweeps is not an encouraging sign.

Repeats of fellow frosh "Criminal Minds" will sub in tonight at 10 in place of "Threshold," with the Victoria's Secret special in the slot on Dec. 6 and the second half of the two-hour "The Amazing Race" finale on Dec. 13.

"Threshold" had just moved to its new Tuesday night slot last week (swapping with "Close to Home," which has thrived in "Threshold's" old Friday berth) but posted just a 2.1 rating/6 share in adults 18-49, as well as just 6.5 million viewers -- its lowest audience yet for an original episode.

As for "Hot," laffer is expected to stay on through December. Alphabet has original segs of "Less Than Perfect" that could slide into the 9:30 p.m. Friday slot. New laffer "Crumbs," bowing in January, also is looking for a home.

Meanwhile, "Get This Party Started," from Grodner ("Big Brother"), will follow a different person each week as he or she works to surprise a loved one with a special event. A team of party planners, headed up by special-events coordinator Lara Shriftman, will put together the event.

Kristin Cavallari ("Laguna Beach") and Ethan Erickson ("Extra") will host. UPN has not yet scheduled a premiere date for the skein.

Ethan Erickson was Percy in "Buffy". He played the part in 5 episodes.
