 | Tony talks about X-Mas! What was his favourite christmas present, when he was a child? And he supports the Evening Post's Christmas Toy Appeal. |
LITTLE BRITAIN STAR IN FESTIVE APPEAL
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Little Britain star Anthony Head has supported the Evening Post's Christmas Toy Appeal by donating a soft toy and a Harry Potter game. Readers of the Evening Post are encouraged to join Anthony by bringing toys or money into the Evening Post offices for distribution to under-privileged children in the area.
The Evening Post Toy Appeal is running alongside the Lord Mayor's Christmas Appeal for Children, which raises funds for children to prevent them from going without this Christmas.
Anthony said: "I always had a very traditional Christmas when I was young, it was very much a family occasion.
"I can remember one Christmas day, I received a present from my parents which was incredible.
"I used to collect toy knights, they were about three inches high, and I really wanted a fort for them but my parents surprised me and built me a castle.
"It was about three foot high and was placed on a hill. It had castle walls, a chapel, dungeons, It was so cool it blew me away.
"I can always remember that being an incredible Christmas for me."
"I think everyone should receive a present at Christmas time, however small. Christmas is about children and it would be horrible to see a child go without a gift."
If anyone wishes to donate a toy or money please bring it into the Evening Post offices.
Thanks a lot Katrina.
