Fox answers Questions!

The Fox network elaborates on why shows such as 'Kitchen Confidential' and more are being cancelled.

QUESTION: Fox gave "Arrested Development" quite a long time to try and find an audience, but another comedy, "Kitchen Confidential," I think, was only on four times before you pulled the plug, and I think "Head Cases" was on half as many times as that. Can you talk about your strategy of keeping shows on and trying to find audiences for them?

PETER LIGUORI: Yes, it is frustrating when you introduce a show and unfortunately have to pull the plug quickly. Our strategy is this: First, we look at the show in and of itself and determine where our attitude is. And two, what you're really looking for is, where is the creative going? If you see that the show is making major improvements and can actually address its weak spots, you stick with it. If you feel the show has reached its natural level of buoyancy and tried it out in a few places, ultimately TV is an incredibley democratic medium. The audience votes and then you have to respond accordingly.

The Fox representative also spoke of other shows including the identity of the killer in "Reunion," the fate of "Arrested Development" and the possible revival of "Futurama." To read more about this click here
