Cast additions to the Grudge 2
Do you remeber Dawn's friend Janice from Buffy season 6 and Joan from 'Joan of arcadia'? Well, that was Amber Tamblyn who is going to be joining the cast of the Grudge 2! |
 Amber Tamblyn (Joan of Arcadia) will star in "The Grudge 2," a sequel to the 2004 Sarah Michelle Gellar horror hit.
Tamblyn will play the younger sister of Gellar, who returns long enough to pass on the movie's supernatural curse. The Columbia Pictures sequel delves into the secrets behind the grudge's wrath and introduces a seemingly unrelated host of new characters who find themselves connected by the curse.
"Grudge 2" is set to begin shooting next month in Tokyo, with the studio eyeing an October release. The first film was a surprise hit, grossing more than $110 million domestically. That film's director, Takashi Shimuzu, will return to the helm.
Tamblyn, Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated for her performance in CBS' "Joan of Arcadia," stars in the film "Stephanie Daley" opposite Tilda Swinton. The movie is screening at the Sundance Film Festival. Last year, she appeared on the big screen in "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and published a book of poetry, "Free Stallion."
