CRASH & MUNICH!
Did you know that a Whedonverse-actor was a cast-member of the Academy Award winning movie "Crash"? And a Whedonverse-producer produced "Munich". |

Sure, there was Ryan Phillippe, friend of Sarah Michelle Gellar and her co-star in "Cruel Intentions" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer", but there is another cast-member and he is well known in the world of "Buffy" and "Angel"!
Daniel Dae Kim played Park! He was Gavin on "Angel", seasons 2-4.
"Munich"
And there was another Whedon-related guy, nominated for an Academy Award: Barry Mendel! He produced "Serenity" and was nominated for "Munich", together with Steven Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy. They lost in "Best Picture" against "Crash".
