I stand by my theory in this week’s column that the voters don’t watch TV, and given that, I fear Lost’s serialized nature may have sealed its fate. If you’ve never seen this island or Sawyer’s smoldering looks before (can you imagine such a world?), you might be too overwhelmed by all the goodness to know what hit you! Also, it seems the voting panel was hell-bent on spreading the wealth and not nominating last year’s winners (Lost, Patricia Arquette, James Spader, etc.).

First of all, I want you all to know hate mail from Skaters has now eclipsed that of Joey-Dawson shippers as the most hate mail of all time! Congratulations! Honestly, I love that, because in light of the Emmy noms, it shows you’re still passionate about this show. Secondly, I want you to know I honestly—swear to Eko—meant to say that I can see the other side now (always good in love and war, right?). Thirdly, and most importantly, because of all this hate mail I am now officially, 100 percent a proponent of..."Hate"! Hurley and Kate, all the way!
