TV kicks ass
Here are six reasons why TV kicks ass right now. |
 No. 1: WEEDS
on Showtime -- Showtime continues to be the red-headed stepchild
compared to HBO. But, with all those Emmy nominations for Huff, and the
premiere of the terrific dark comedy Weeds, Showtime is moving out of
HBO’s shadow.
No. 2: IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILDELPHIA on FX: Finally, a sitcom that
doesn’t feel like it’s been run through a network focus group. It’s so
wrong, it’s brilliant.
No. 3: THE DAILY SHOW on Comedy Central - Jon Stewart and the gang
continue to be my main source of news. And yes, I like the new set.
No. 4: RESCUE ME - Where was the Emmy love for this amazing show? The
lack of an Emmy nod for Denis Leary is a f@#$%&)! Crime.
No. 5: BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER reruns on FX and FIREFLY reruns on SciFi - It’s always nice to revisit the Whedon-universe, isn’t it?
No. 6: SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE? on Fox - I know it’s totally lame to
like this show. Yet, I watched every second of it so far. I’m so
ashamed. I hate myself.
