'Drink Me' by John Cope

Looking for the series by John Cope that begins with 'Drink me' when Angel drinks a drop too much from Buffy in Graduation pt 2 and Willow conspires to turn Buffy rather than allow her to die. I have the first page saved, but of course now that GeoCities has shut up shop, the link to the next chapter leads nowhere and rest of it is lost in cyberspace unless it's archived anywhere else... please...

It starts out rather Bangelly, but definitely becomes Spuffy later (I don't read anything else) but it's infuriating that I can't remember HOW it becomes Spuffy, which is why I wanted to re-read it.

I managed to find the second page using the wayback machine, thanks Xaphania, but of course the next page wasn't found and so I haven't progressed very far.

It's a crying shame that some authors who post their work on their own sites don't also share it on the big archive sites like this. So many good fics are being lost as authors lose interest and their individual sites disappear.

Thanks, SMac. Unfortunately that only gives me the same parts I've already found and the link to sabershadowkitten's site for the rest of the series doesn't work - and I can't find the sequel, 'Spike in the City of Angels' or any more of the series via the wayback machine either.

Guest - I've tried that URL, but as I found with the page I had saved, the first one works, but the link to 'next' just leads to the irritating 'GeoCities has closed' page.

I am beginning to think I'm never going to find it.

If you go to this link you can go down the list of individual posts and rebuild the entire story. You're looking for johndrinkme posts. All the chapters seem to be there, all you you have to do is copy and paste each page you find to a new document then fit them together as a whole like a puzzle. Otherwise, I can't find a single link anywhere that actually goes all the way through the story.

I've managed to get all the chapters now this way, all the way thru the blessed 'the end' which means it's all there. It's quite a long story.

When you're building your chapters, note that John Cope has accidentally labeled chapter 11 as chapter 12 in the body of one of his posts. The real chapter 12 is at the beginning of the next post so don't be confused by that. The first chapter 12 (in the body of a prior post) is actually chapter 11 and follows immediately after chapter 10.

I hope this is clear and helps anyone trying to do this.

There are a few files that take the form 'episode34' etc that don't mention John, SMac - By random clicking I've discovered they are also part of the series.

I'm saving them all to a folder and I'll go back and rename the files into a cohesive order afterwards...

When building 'Drink Me' note that chapter 28 starts at the end of one post, then continues into the next one without labeling it as such but you can tell because soon after the post begins chapter 29 starts. Just mentioning in case that confuses anyone building this back together.

The sequel Spike in the city of angels is also there -- look for entries marked john wiht a number following ie john4

Also there are 2 additional one shots that go with it -- "first base" and "sex, violence and karaoke"

Does anyone have a complete copy you'd be willing to share?
