Set almost seventeen years after The Gift, Spike is now living in L.A. working at Angel Investigations. When he's out on patrol one night, he comes across a girl who is identical to Buffy in every way...except she's a teenager. Spike and the Fang Gang now have to figure out if this girl is the same Buffy Summers who sacrificed herself so many years ago. I think I've read this one. Xander is a vamp, turned by Spike and also in the story. Unfortunately can't remember the name of the story. Is this the one.

I am sorry that i don't remember very much. I am sure i could recognised it if i read the summary or the beginning of the story.

Always_jbj had one (the second in a series that begins with Axis of Love) called To Live Again which has Spike meeting and falling in love with a Slayer many, many years in the future. However, she lost the files for it and pulled it until she could update and recreate important details. I'm not aware that she's ever gone back to it or finished it, but it certainly could be the one you've been searching for.
