Spike's reaction to Wes and Winifred's arrival was wonderful. Of course he was concerned, but his scrutiny and keen observation spelled out how different the relationship was. I enjoyed his toying with Wesley, though it was a bit cruel. Wes still lacks confidence, but I hope Winfred's acceptance of his proposal makes inroads in that.
Buffy is so naive and charming, it's no wonder William's heart has been taken. Her simple admission was all he could hope for. Even with trouble on the horizon, it's lovely to have these two couples in such a happy place.

Ahhh, now Wes will have to marry Fred (like that wouldn't happen ANYWAY) but I thought it was cute that he was flustered and kept thinking of reasons to get out of it... silly boy. And YAY, Buffy finally admitted that she loved William, which is all kinds of good! This chapter was a wonderful interlude and I loved the POV's changing between Wes/Fred and Spike and Buffy/Joyce. But I have a itch in the back of my mind that says Angel is going to show up at some point and put a damper on things... grrrr... or the society ladies.

Most assuredly a fab chapter mi hermana. The scene between Spike and Wes was as comical as it was tense. And thank GOD Wed has finally gotten over his low sense of self esteem when it comes to Fred. I'm dancing in my seat waiting to read the proposal - squee. Very brave on Joyce's part to ask Buffy whether or not she wants to marry Spike. I lmao when Buffy panicked - if that isn't a woman in love. Spike sneaking in to see her was so adorable and I like how Buffy 'played him' there for a bit about her feelings. She screwed up by blurting it out there - but that's the best way to tel someone without saying it...oooops, LOL. Adam's-apple bobbing moment indeed. Methinks Spike is in heaven now. Can't wait for the next chappy darling. Luv u.
