pj! I remember wishing one of your stories would be finished seriously about a decade ago. Amazing. I just tried an old password I used to use and amazingly got in too. Memories!

And anyone else who loves this site, it's worth mentioning there's a nifty little "Donate" option just below the shout box here! ;)

They thought she was still inside singing her guts out with the others.

Dawn crept forward and watched them.

She gazed in sadness as her sister and her vampire kissed.

Dawn’s eyes filled with tears.

They looked perfect together…

But she knew…

She knew it would end in tears…

The Hellmouth would work its curse and they would never be happy.

No one could ever be happy here – the town was cursed – there was only sadness and death found in this place.

There was no escape.

It wasn’t fair – but she knew that life wasn’t fair. If it was, Mom would be alive and the two kissing would live happily ever after.

Dawn’s heart broke for them – there would be no walking off into the sunset, only tears and pain.

Her fingers tightened on the doorframe and she prayed for the first time in her short life.

She prayed futilely for them.

For Buffy and Spike.
