Authors Chapter Notes:
Thank you to Chocoholicgirl03 aka Amy for the beta work!

I don´t own anything. Joss Whedon, Mutant Enemy and the WB do.

Buffy ran up the stairs to her apartment, keys in one hand, a half full bottle of coke in the other. She was wearing a pair
of red pants and a red-and-white shirt. Once inside she quickly undressed, her work clothes landing everywhere on the floor.
She practically jumped in the shower. Fifteen minutes later she sported thigh-length black leather skirt and a matching camisole.

She picked up a box of matches and made her way around the apartment, lightning candles. When she was surrounded by
candlelight she drew a deep breathe and let herself fall back on her bed, arms spread out to her sides. Everything was a ritual
with her and every evening she lit the candles, lie down on her bed and let her mind wander. The past, the present, the future
all came together and she felt free. No matter what she did during the days, the nights were hers. Here in her apartment she was
the master. This was the only thing that really mattered to her. Everything else, the hard work, the humiliation, that was not real.
But this was. At night in her apartment, Buffy was who she really knew she was. A legend in my own dreams. She smiled.

Buffy laid back down on the bed and spread her legs, letting her fingers glide over her stomach to her pussy. She knew her own
body well and knew exactly what to do. If she wanted, she could drag it out for half an hour. Sometimes she wanted it fast, and
would get herself off in a matter of minutes. Tonight, she wanted to seduce herself and she let her fingers work their magic slowly
in tome to the beat of the music. To add to her arousal she though back on past lovers. There had been quite a few over the years
and she let her thoughts wander between different ones. Then she increased the speed and the pressure and spread
her legs even further apart and at the same time lifting them of the mattress slightly. A memory of a scene she’d seen on TV in
which a guy had sex with a girl awhile she slept on a bench surfaced and that pushed her into a small, satisfying orgasm.
She felt her cum trickle down on the sheet beneath but was too tired to do anything about it.

“In the morning” she mumbled and fell asleep.

A man stood up from his heavy mahogany desk and walked over to a large round window that gave him a panoramic view of Los Angeles.
His stance was rigid, his suit flawless looking. Tired blue eyes behind thick frames. He let out a deep breath that he had
held back the entire day. His stance loosened somewhat, his shoulders slumped. His eyes closed for a moment and when
they opened they held a mischievous glimmer. If someone had watched the man in that moment, they would have thought for
a second that it was a different person that had taken the previous man’s place.

“We at MacDixie´s are pleased to have done business with you and wish you a pleasant day”

Buffy smiled.

Every day at work was the same. Sweeping the floor, making small talk with work colleagues – none of them had ever stayed
for longer than 3 months, except for herself of course. Early in the mornings they usually just got a few regulars but by lunch
time the place was crowded with customers from all different walks of life, many of them construction workers wearing blue
sweaty overalls stopping by to grab today’s special. There were also stock brokers, lawyers and other professional people.
But of course, when you had worked here for two years, even a posh looking attorney looked no different than a blue collar worker.
They were customers all the same. And she always greeted them in the same way with one of her trademark McDixie smiles.
Buffy worked behind the counter until she finally managed a two minute break. She let her gaze wander about the restaurant.
God, she hated this job.

But soon her mind drifted to more pleasant thoughts as her gaze settled on a tall lean man sitting by the window. What drew
her gaze to him was his platinum blond hair that together with the black leather coat he was wearing gave him a distinct
bad boy look. He had sharp cheekbones and above them a pair of baby blue eyes. He was beautiful. She imagined those eyes
turning black from desire while they gazed upon her while he was fucking her...'Oh bad, bad thoughts' at the moment anyway.
She stored them in the back of her head. They would come in handy later on, so to say. Her break was over when Xander, the
newest addition to the staff let his deep post-puberty voice be heard:

“Buffster – Table 4”

He handed her three plates of French Fries. Buffy smiled back at the brown haired young man she knew he had a crush on
her while inwardly thinking 'but never – way too vulnerable.'

She made her way through the restaurant to table 4, around which four men were seated, definitely of the bold and the beautiful kind.

"I asked for my ketchup on the side."

'Why do I always get the hard ones?'

Buffy thought with a sigh.

"Is there a problem, sir?"

"I wanted my ketchup on the side."

The man talking to her was a good looking man, maybe a bit too good looking, in his early thirties, dressed in an
expensive suit. His cufflinks shimmered in the florescent light.

"Okay, I can fix that. I’ll just take this away…"

She picked up the basket. The suit gave her a big, flirtatious smile.

"I’m just kidding with you, honey. But it’s good to know that if I did have a problem that you are very service minded…"

He leaned closer to her and read her name tag.

"…Buffy."

Buffy smiled and turned to leave. She squeaked and swirled around as someone pinched her behind. It was obvious that
the culprit was the man she just had talked to due to the obnoxious smirk he was now wearing.

"So you wanna service me?"

His hand encircled her wrist and kept her from walking away.

"Why don’t you pick on someone your own size? Or is that not something that you Nancy boys do?"

Blue eyes collided with brown.

The blond that Buffy earlier had apprised was now engaged in a staring contest with the suit. The pair of browns looked
down first but Buffy could see that the suit wasn’t finished; she could see him clenching and unclenching his
fists under the table.

"Thanks."

She gave the blond a smile.

“but everything is fine.”

She needed this job. The blond seemed to be able to read her mind as he backed down.

"Whatever you say, pet."

He returned to his seat and Buffy made a quickly retreated behind the counter.

The suit and his friends left soon thereafter, the suit giving shooting her angry looks on his way out. The blond stayed a
bit longer and Buffy often caught him staring at her. But he never looked away when she did, but simply continued staring.
Before he finally left he gave her a smirk and winked.

'Finally!' Buffy thought as her watched turned 10 pm. Before walking out the backdoor she checked herself in the mirror. She took
out the pins that kept her hair up during the day and applied a little red lipstick. She was reeking of grease but there was not
much she could do about that. The alley behind the restaurant was dimly lit but the moment she walked out the door she
spotted him. She didn’t see him clearly but recognized his silhouette as he leaned against the brick wall a few yards away.

"I thought I might run into you."

She said and smiled.

"Excuse me...?"

A trembling quiet voice answered her. Buffy jumped in surprise. That voice definitely did not belong to the blond.

"Who are you?"

She squinted and watched as the figure moved out of the shadows. It wasn’t the blond with the leather coat she’d expected.
Instead stood in front of her a shorter man with dark blond, curly hair and glasses. He stuttered as he spoke.

"I wanted to say that I’m sorry for the way… those men treated you before. In the restaurant."

"Huh?"

Buffy was to surprised to understand what he meant. The man took a few steps closer to her. His stride rigid and awkward
looking at the same time, his hands deep in his pockets.

"The men earlier. That were being unpleasant to you..."

"Oh. Right okay. Were you with them?"

"No! I mean..no. But I was sitting close by and saw. That’s no way to treating a lady."

"Look. I don’t know you, so why do you…"

"Oh how rude of me. I’m William. William Huffman."

Buffy shook the hand that was offered to her. The handshake was weak and hesitant.

"I’m sorry if I startled you just now…"

There was something vaguely familiar about him.

"Have we met?"

"Well, Like I said, I was in the restaurant before."

Buffy couldn’t remember seeing him in the restaurant but then again he wasn’t exactly the type you would notice.

"Okay. That’s really nice of you, but since you didn’t do anything there’s really no need…"

"But they had no right!"

"But I’m all right now, so no harm done. Thank you for caring but I’m going home now so…"

"Of course."

He had come half way down the alley when he turned around.

"Maybe, maybe you would like to…to meet me sometime? His cheeks had turned red and his eyes were on the ground."

"Thanks. But I don’t think so. Good bye William."

His gaze still on the ground as he whispered “Good bye Miss Summers” and walked away.

She hadn’t told him her name, had she? Oh, the nametag. Right.

The one man had barely turned the corner before another entered the alley. At first, Buffy thought that William was
coming back to make his case once more, but the confident walk the person approached her with told her otherwise. Cigarette
hanging from his lips, blue eyes on her.

"Hello, luv."

Buffy knew then that she was going sleep with him. But that didn’t mean she was gonna give into it right away.

"Hi."

Buffy knew she was blushing.

"Going home?"

He cocked his head to the side, studying her.

"Yeah." She smiled slightly.

"Good. Come on then."

"No. I don’t think so."

He walked up to her until he stood so close that they were almost touching. He leaned it, his mouth closing in on her ear,
tickling it with his warm breath.

"I want to make love to you."

He kissed her neck lightly, leaving goose bumps behind.

"No."

She murmured weakly. She pushed him off her, making him stumble backwards. Taking a deep breath Buffy looked at him.

"I said no....."

She almost ran out of the alley, half expecting him to follow her, but he didn’t. She wasn't sure whether that was a good or a bad thing.

The next day she kept her eyes open for the blond, thinking maybe had gotten the hint clear enough the evening before,
and maybe needed a bit more. Her no hadn't really meant no but had more been said to encourage him to pursue her, to
hunt her like the sleek black cat he resembled. But he hadn’t shown and now it was only twenty minutes left to closing time.
Then she met his gaze. The other man from the evening before 'What was his name? William?' stared at her from he was
seated in one of the booths. Then she noticed that he wasn’t alone. Next to him by the window sat a tall, lean woman in fur.
Buffy had to admit that she was gorgeous with a mane of chestnut hair, a pair of green eyes and glowing skin. Definitely model
material. It made Buffy very self aware of her own looks. She picked up her order pad and mad made her way over to them.

"May I take your order?"

The beauty looked up from the menu.

"I’d like a chef salad and water."

'Why is he staring at me?'

"And you, sir?"

She looked down at William. He smiled shyly up at her.

"Hello again Miss Summers. So you…you are working tonight as well?"

"Yes. Now, what can I get you?"

She forced herself to smile.

"Oh yes. Coffee please. Black. Miss."

The beauty sneaked a long arm around William’s waste and giggled.

"Miss? You are so cute my Willie!"

"All right. It will take five minutes."

Buffy’s eyes again met William’s as she gave them her welcome to MacDixie smile before she left them.

Later, as the odd pair exited the restaurant Xander and Buffy watched them get into a red Porsche.

"If I had a car like that I would have sex with it. And then the model. Cecily is so hot."

Xander sighed, almost drooling over both the car and Cecily.

"If I had a boyfriend like that, I would need a car like that to have sex with him." Buffy, shook her head.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Buffy swayed her hips, her short red skirt barely covering her ass. Her hands above her head, her hair flowing over her
bare shoulders. Even Willow found herself staring from time to time at her friend as they moved to the pounding music
in the middle of the dance floor at the Bronze. Willow knew she had nothing on Buffy but she always had been happy with
the way things were. She was happy to just be around the girl she was in love with but knew she could never have.

Guys came over to them in droves, offering them drinks. Buffy and Willow enjoyed each other's company too much
to let some hormone ridden guy into their conversation. They only met once a month and it was always Buffy that
called Willow. After three dances they made their way through the crowd to order new drinks.

"What do you say Willow, beer or drinks?"

"Why choose?" Willow shrugged with a giggle.

"Oh madam, I believe you have a point!"

They ordered a bottle of wine and laughed, toasting each other. Then Buffy noticed a familiar couple. The girl now had on a
beautiful green dress that really complemented her auburn hair. She looked like she had come straight off a fashion show
runway in Paris. Buffy giggled as she noticed what her partner was wearing. Whereas the woman looked like she just had stepped
out of a fashion magazine, the man looked like he was more at home pouring over dusty old books in some library than a club.
He wore brown Manchester trousers and a baggy white shirt.

"My God, do you see those two?" She pointed out the couple that sat at the other end of the bar talking, or rather the woman
talking and the man was listening, to Willow. “It’s the third time in two days that I see that guy.

Willow shrugged, smiling. "He’s kind of cute."

"Are you serious?!" Buffy stared at her friend open mouthed.

"Yeah. We can’t all go for large muscular models, now can we?" Willow smiled, laughing.

"Anyway…it’s weird." Buffy mumbled.

"Maybe he’s new in the neighborhood and is checking things out."

"I guess."

She glanced in their direction again and discovered that she had been caught. The man raised a hand and waved at her. Buffy looked away and turned back to Willow.

"Well anyway. Let’s shake our booties some more!"

"Yep, cause we are bootylicious!" Willow did a really poor imitation Beyonce and Buffy laughed out loud.

The two girls danced until their feet hurt, laughing at each others jokes and taking pleasure in being wanted by every
man in the room. The evening went by too fast and soon both of them needed to get home and get some sleep.

Buffy and Willow exited the club via the back entrance to avoid running into guys waiting to make them a different kind of
propositions. As they entered the dark alley, Willow tugged on Buffy’s arm and pointed into the darkness. Buffy was barely
be able to make out the shadows of a couple having their own fun. It looked like the man was kneeling giving the very happy
woman a hell of a good reason to be happy. The noises she made indicated as much as she bounced slightly up and down.
The intensely erotic image left both Buffy and Willow breathless for a moment. Finally they snapped out of it as the woman gave
a particularly high-pitched cry. The man was almost invisible but from the light coming from the main road. It looked like he
was dressed it dark leather.

Unwillingly the two girls made their way home, both thinking of what they just had seen.
