"Angel?" I cry to sleep at night
felling your love wrap around me
like an old quilt blanket that
always helps me fall asleep
"Angel!" I cry in my dreams
when I see your hurt filled eyes
that pour over me and cause me pain
just because I did what I had to do
"Angel." I say the next morning
when I know it was all a dream
but I know that you won't come back to me
even though that night's nightmare is over
end
