He will tell the Mayor, in his own time. How gullible these fools were. So eager to shine. Didn’t they know that true power comes from the shadows? Let others take the limelight. (And the heat). He will stay in the background, and control that pompous fool the Mayor.

The Principal and Chief of Police believed everything he had told them. Unknown to themselves, they now worked for him. Perfect lackeys. Let them think him a nobody. A beaurocrat. As long as they believed he worked for the Mayor, they did everything he wanted.

Now Snyder had gotten rid of the girl. He knew the chief was trying to have her arrested. That wouldn’t help. Nor did it fit into his plans. If she were in jail, others would rally to her, including Rupert Giles. No. This way, hopefully she would disappear. The next step in his plan. Another support removed from his enemy.

It had been a pity about the woman. She was quite attractive. He wouldn’t have minded seducing her away from the librarian. She looked as if she would have been quite spectacular in bed. Ah well, he would never know. And her death served another purpose.

Now it was just the rest of those horrid children. A couple of them weren’t a concern. But the redhead girl is dangerous. She will have to be disposed of. And the dark-haired boy. Although he wouldn’t be a problem.

Yes. Everything was going to plan. Soon he would have his enemy where he wanted him. Then the fun would begin.

"Ah, Ripper. You have to pay for what you did. It will be a pleasure to see you completely destroyed." Ethan Rayne began to hum as he prepared some paperwork for the Mayor to sign.
