Summary: My ending to the episode "Hero". It's short.

Cordelia Chase hurried to Angel's side, helping him up from where he'd fallen when Doyle punched him. The two of them looked up in time to see a man in a bad shirt jump up on the platform housing the Beacon that would destroy any being that had human blood.
"Doyle... no!" cried Angel in horror, as they watched him reach for the plug. Cordelia was blinded by tears as she realized he was about to die.
Angel watched in amazement as the little man unplugged the device, hopped down from the platform unharmed, and strolled past him toward the ship's exit, winking as he went by. Cordelia felt a handkerchief pressed into her hand, and a very familiar voice asked, "Will you go to dinner with me, Cordelia?"
Wiping her eyes, she looked into a face she thought she'd never see again, and threw her arms around his neck with fresh tears of gratitude springing to her eyes. "Yes, Doyle, I'll go to dinner with you."
Angel watched them with a little smile, then said softly, "Thanks, Whistler."
