76 Trombones....how totally perfect!

Going to head to the sequel tomorrow. I've been a bad girl and reading when I should be writing (it's all your fault you talented minx you).

This is really a gem of a story. Lots of tears both of sadness and joy.

Kathleen
Thank you, I just couldn't pass up,"76 trombones" it's just too sweet. The sequel is a bit more meandering and complicated. But keep in mind that in "The Interregnum" Past, Present, and Future are the same. Think of it as a sort of "Purgatory",or "Limbo" if you recognise those concepts. I think you'll be able to follow it. But there has been some confusion, so I thought I'd try and clear it up before you started.

Great story, I'm in the process of reading the sequel. I loved it. It's teary how sweet Buffy and Spike's relationship is!
Thanks for reading! The sequel is a *bit* more winding and complicated, but I think you'll enjoy it too. Don't give up on it, I think you'll like it as much as you seem to have enjoyed this one. Thanks again for reading my little story.

Thank you for the wonderful story. I am now going to try again to read the sequel. I tried to read it before but didn't know about this one.
You're welcome. Second chances are an important idea for the sequel, so thanks for giving that fic another try. ;-)

Perfect end of the chapter....just when Spike despaired of Dawn's love, there she is! This is really so very well done.

Kathleen
Someone had to keep Spike from the Dark Side of the Force.

This was very, very good. I found out about it when I saw the sequel, and I had to read it before I could read the sequel.
Thanks for giving my little stories a chance. ;-) I admit, they can be emotionally draining and maybe a bit confusing, at times. But they're worth it! At least I think so.

Gah and the fun just keeps on coming. BTW, love seeing Holland Manners in the story. He was always pretty chilling in a way because he looked so benign.

Kathleen
I always thought Manners was creepy.

Gaahh nothing like an unscheduled apocalypse indeed! Dru, Dru, Dru....I hate to admit how well she did learn from Angelus. LOVED the solo piece with Angel especially...Brilliant.

Kathleen
LOL Yep those can really louse things up.

Okay, I have to read the rest later (must have sleep even if I'd rather read great fic).....I had to rush over and nominate this a few places. This is utterly brilliant and emotionally true and moving.

Kathleen
Go sleep! The story will wait for you! And thanks for nominating me. ;-)

pfeifferpackpart 205/16/2006 10:11 am
Say Wendy....trying to nominate this story several places and your e-mail address isn't working. Please e-mail a proper one to me at pfeifferpack2003@yahoo.com so I can nom this a few places *G*.

Kathleen

Oh and here's my reply to your mail via BSV it came back from the Mailer Deamon using the e-mail you have on your info and with 'reply' function:

It is my pleasure nominating such a wondrfully crafted story. I am working through all of yours and am so impressed with your talent!

I have a couple of other places I am planning to
nominate this particular story but have already
submitted it to Loves Last Glimpse in several
cateories to give it the best chance possible (will do the same at 3 other award sites where I think it would do well).

Someone from the site will e-mail you (I put your
e-mail as per requirements) and let you know of the nominations. It may take a day or so for them to do this. In a couple of cases you have to reply that you accept to have the nomination go through but others simply do a quick check of requirements and it's a done deal.

I have my apendages crossed for you! You are a
genuine talent. Your plotting is exceptional,
characterizations are spot on and your dialogue
believable. The award sites will draw more readers to your wonderful stories.

Kathleen
Thanks!

God this is brilliant! The imagery and the emotions are just heartbreaking. Not just Spike and Buffy but Dru and her firefly soul (and I adore William's reaction to his sire's question about it!). Xander is a treasure in this one and even Angel is finally growing into something of value. This is splendid.

Kathleen
Thank you very much! I'm doin' my "Happy Jig!"

I have been reading almost non stop now. I forgot to leave you a review last night, so here it is! I have read a lot of stories where Dru comes to help and just agrees that Spike should be with Buffy. I am kind of looking forward to her putting up a fight for him! You are an amazing wqriter, and I will continue reading until I am done!!
I don't think Dru would just roll over and take Buffy being with her Prince, do you? You'll soon know who I think the real Champ is here!

Thank you very much!

I just found this story a week ago, and have been trying (I say trying because I am a full time student, mom of 3, and an Army wife who is sending her hubby to Iraq AGAIN soon) to find the time to read it. I am really enjoying it so far, and will continue to review as I finish chapters!
Sounds like you're a busy Mom! I'm so glad you feel my little story is worth your precious free time. Thank you so much for the review. Take care :-)
