| Oh yeah - another rely on each other to survive story - and a goodie too! like this one a lot. i'm always just in awe of you authors and all the names of the creatures and characters you make up - where do you come up with them? I liked the Solum character. And.....wondering where Spike's coat is? Perhaps at the bottom of the ocean with that nasty ugallu creature? you may have to write another story to tell us where his duster is! thanks again for writing this one. |

Wonderful, wonderful fic! I'm all for light stories.  How about the PWP, then taking Solum home, then their adventures in the islands, then their "higher purpose", then their return to Sunnydale with Xander's head exploding and Angel's disbelief that SPIKE could be chosen ahead of HE?!?...I hope you go on and on...again, I love it. |

Great story. I love your characterization of both Buffy and Spike as they struggle against the attraction they feel for each other. This was very well written. I can't wait for a (the) sequel).
C'mon, think of the fun of Angel finding out that Spike is now head of the Aurelius line. Not to mention the collective fit that the Scooby's (and Angel) are gonna have when they find out that the Chosen One is now mated to said head of the line. That will be spuffy goodness for everyone. [I Imagine Xander's head exploding.]
You've set us up perfectly for the sequel, the hinting that the mating was pre-ordained and that there is a 'higher' purpose our mated pair, not to mention the looming horror of the Ugallu demon.
Your public demands (ok, begs for) a sequel.

Amaze. I loved this- I found the ending especially chilling, and it seemed perfectly fitting to have the beautiful happy 'lets go explore the islands and be together and in love' storyline, slightly tinged by the fear of that damn Ugallu demon. I think a sequel to this would be supreme. Oh, and obviously- very happy mrSpike decided not to rip his lady's throat out.

Well it worked out for all at the end. Hmm the worm thing that hunts them might be imortal but I think it's a bad idea for it to be indestructable. Anything that lives should be able to die.
I would love more stories in this verse but would love it even more if you wrote a story where Angel finds out that Buffy and Spike are mated, that could be very entertaining. |

Oh my gosh!! First off ... stupid of Buffy to think that her saying she doesn't love Angel would just change everything all peachy after she rejected Spike. Secondly, wow ... nice reminder of how evil Spike can be.
I'm still going to hope for a pleasant ending to the story though. I know that things can turn one way and another back and forth. I really don't think he is stupid enough to fall for Ipwet's line of crap. He always tends to surprise us all with something else. So, I'm going to cross my fingers that he has something else up his sleeve instead of just killing Buffy.
Excellent update, and I look forward to getting the last chapter to see how you conclude this one. |

Dang. At first my heart was really breaking at the thought of Spike betraying Buffy. After reading the chapter, I kind of realize why he still went along with it. Buffy basically denied him, rejected him again like all the others as if he wasn't good enough. That is the worst thing you can do to Spike because he will always react to it. He's been hurt too many times before.
So, even though I am really sad that he still betrayed them ... I at least understand why. I hope that a happy ending still comes out of this somehow. Good update. |

| Love the story. Glad to see an update. Good to see this story continued.
I don't know if anyone else had it, but the first half of the chapter seems to hve formatting issues. There aren't any line spaces inbetween paragraphs. It is pretty much all run together line after line. There are carriage returns to the next paragraph, but the next paragraph starts directly beneath with no space. No big. Just makes it a little harder to read. |

| YAY! KYRA'S BACK! love the new chapter -- the scene where Buffy "dreams/inserts herself" into Spike's past - reminded me of the time when Buffy dreamed of Angel's. But this was so much better -- b/c you know it's Spike.

Chapter Five - AHH so that is her dasterdly plan ... She doens't know how loyal Spike can be does she - well at least she doesn't get it. I loved Buffy accidently gettign Spike off. It was hilarious and a bit steamy. *wicked grin * great chapter
