| Hi. I’ve just read the whole story from start to end, and thought that I’d express my appreciations for a wonderfully crafted tale. First of all, let me say that the whole thing was extremely well written, with an excellent storyline and first rate characterisation. I particularly admired the way that you were able to interweave your story with the canon events so adroitly. This made for an excellent story, and it's only a pity that events in canon BtVS could not unfold this way. I should also mention how much I admired your portrayal of Angelus, he was suitably evil, and a really evil Angelus is something that I find many writers cop out on, but yours was a truly nasty piece of work ... well done! Truth be told, I admired your portrayal of all the characters, and greatly enjoyed your ability to express their thoughts and emotions in such a believable fashion. As a final point I’m glad to see (from your reply to other comments) that you plan a sequel to this story. It will be intriguing to see how your Spike progresses upon his return to Sunnyhell and the barriers you will put in the way of his getting together with Buffy. Once again thanks for an excellent story. |

Yes there is a planned sequel to this one in the making. I am delighted others are interested in seeing the difference with Spike's return under the circumstances.
Angelus was evil and there is no way in my mind to portray him in any other way and remain honest to the character. He was so unlike Spike that I never could find any redeeming charactistics in souless Angel at all. I didn't want to wallow in the evil or torture but wanted no shades of "good" to pop in either. He is as he is.
I am especially pleased that you felt the characters believable. That is one thing I strive for in my stories...proper character voice and behavior.

| well now this is just a great story, beautifully written and great plot. so i'm here to vote for a sequel cuz i know you have plans right? i would love to be notified somehow when you have it done. but i guess i will just have to keep checking back here from time to time. cuz gotta see the greatness that is spuffy when spike gets back to town with his surefire plan......NOT! hehe! thanks for writing this wonderful story. |

| Thank you! I am likely going to do a sequel to this in the New Year some time. Don't plan to make it syrupy but I always like my Spike to end up happy (or at least hopeful).

| Very emotional and riveting chapter. Only one chapter to go. {sniffles} Spike left with Dru. {Frowns} Heading to read the last chapter in the hopes that we still get a Spuffy ending. |

| I always thought they were natural pairings for friendship. Oz would understand better than any other male character (even Angel) the duality and the effort Spike was making to control the demon. Spike would enjoy Oz's mind and music taste. Thank you K |

| Dang, Jenny still died. Even after all the warnings. That was stupid of her to leave herself vulnerable still. {Sighs} Poor Giles. I hope that Spike takes what Oz and Joyce said to heart. I like how you put that part in for Oz. People seemed to forget that werewolf did mean part demon. Bravo on the chapter. |
| I didn't see how to get around that bit of evil from Angelus so Jenny had to go. I intended there to be lots of seeds planted in this one including the seeds for thought given to Spike by Joyce and Oz about taking charge of his destiny. Oz has that special understanding and Spike recognizes that he does. Thanks k |

| Now that was a pretty powerful and gripping chapter. Angelus is all ass, rude, obnoxious, cruel, and disgusting. Spike stood his ground to the end, even from the chair. Well written chapter especially because of the subject matter. |

| Interesting attitude from each of them on the en-souling. I liked Giles last words of the chapter that if he had the opportunity to take out Angel tonight, he would. Good update. |
| Thank you. I do think that Giles really would have loved to see the end of Angel/Angelus both in the canon story and in this one. There was no going back from some actions and that soul didn't really buy him forgiveness from Giles. K |

| Thank you. I never felt Dru was easily pegged or written off. There were layers there and there had to be some substance for William to have loved her for so long. Oh yes, Angelus had no redeeming characterics IMHO. K |
